She stared at him for several long moments, silently processing his words.

Her gaze held his for a moment longer before softening. Your concerns are valid, and I’ll bring them to Solenya. It’s just been the two of us for so long… we’ve done what we can with limited resources.

She could understand his protectiveness. His concern for his friend wasn’t unwelcome. In fact, she respected it.
