Idiot. Fucking fool. Imbecile. There weren't words enough to contain the depth of Panacea's self-loathing. He was sure he'd ruined everything. At the very least he'd made Kemal uncomfortable, and he didn't know what he was supposed to do with that. Disappear and never show his face again, maybe.
But that felt like adding cowardice to his stupidity, and Panacea didn't think he needed to dig the hole any deeper. So he threw himself back into hunting instead. Easier to provide for the pack. Easier to make himself useful and hope it would all blow over. Maybe Kemal would just forget about it. Or maybe he hadn't even understood what Panacea meant at all. He could hope, at least.
