Moonspear witches brew

When a familiar face emerged from the rainy rockery, Tiuttuk actually beamed. It was tempting to race toward Arrluk, though two things slowed her step. Firstly, she didn’t want to slip on the wet ground, especially with the hawk altering her center of gravity. Secondly, it occurred to her that she may have forgotten any rendezvous with her relative during what she’d come to think of as the black hole. It probably wouldn’t make an enormous difference, though Pie didn’t look forward to explaining those lost months.

Same to you! she shouted back despite her hesitations, the two of them moving mindfully toward one another. It really is so good to see your face, Arrluk, she said with quiet emphasis once they drew close. How long has it been? she ventured, since it was a customary question.

Had they seen one another since the last meet she could recall? Thinking back on that exchange, Tiuttuk felt a mix of emotions. She had sworn never to leave Moonspear, only she had left it in the end. She couldn’t remember actually doing that, though one of the last things she could recall prior to the the black hole was making that awful decision.

Wyvern shifted her weight on Pie’s back, prompting her to focus her glazing eyes and rest them—slightly apprehensively—on Arrluk’s face.
