Redhawk Caldera The heart wants what it wants

Peregrine had been able to keep his mind off the plateau and the wolves there for some time now, though he was not always able to keep those thoughts on the back burner. Presently, the Alpha male lay on the lip of the caldera, his posture sphinx-like save for his left foreleg, which was crooked beneath his chest. He stared in the direction of his former home in the distance and took a moment, allowing himself to miss his children, his siblings, his best friend and everyone else.

But then he stood up with a quiet chuff and began to trot along the crater's edge. He hoped to pick up the scent of prey and do some hunting. If not, maybe he would find some of his subordinates and they could hang out and chat. Peregrine was up for anything that would keep him busy, keep his mind off the plateau and focused where it belonged: on Redhawk Caldera.
