Setting this somewhat distant from their borders -- Mordecai is paying a visit out of curiosity. Plz don't eat him, haha. Unless you want to, though I'd give props if someone is all "THERE'S WILD DOGS ABOUT". HI AGAIN, KNOCK KNOCK?

Though he had told himself to stay away, at least for a little while, curiosity burnt a hole clear through him. As the days gave way to cool nights and back again to warming mornings, it was becoming clear in his travels that there was a pack resting in the scattered ridges and niches of what was Silvertip Mountain. He had been keeping an eye on it, a fair recon of what had once been familiar territory. Bodies traveled in and out of it, hunting and keeping up on their expanding range. That was always a good indication that something was there. It wasn't just one or two wolves either, it was distinctly a pack with several in their band.

As the mid-afternoon sun played hide and seek behind pale clouds, he dared to linger closer to their borders. Mordecai did not wish to raise alarm, but knew the risks he was gambling with. He didn't raise a call for them either, certain that there were many a watchful eye hidden through the forests leading up to the rising mountain. Those eyes were without a doubt, watching him and waiting to see what his intentions were. For the time being, he took his time along one of their trailing scent markers, investigating the various scents that lingered in the crisp air.
