The small group of wolves combined with a great expanse of trees would make it very difficult for the stag to escape. And it seemed it would be headed directly into the lion-like jaws of Noctura — or so said the plan. He accepted it, of course, with a nod, and his large paws began a more purposeful tread, muzzle raised further off the ground now that they had the scent. He took the widest path, given his bulk — it meant the others had plenty of room to drive the deer towards him when the time came.
