he cherished the warmth between him -- how her cardinal fur brushed against his drab grey, enlivening him with some emotion he so scarcely felt. it was fleeting, and as she darted from his hold rannveig felt a cold sink its unwelcome teeth into his hide.

he rose as if bidden to do so, traveling on some baser instinct's command after her rapid form. his breath caught in his lungs as longing for her contact pooled within him, and a lusty sort of play lit his gaze as she coyly stepped beyond his reach.

he loped carefully behind her, pressing his limbs forth so that he was driven alongside her bobbing body. he marveled how gracefully her limbs moved - how smooth the ripple of lean muscle under her vibrant fur -- and more than anything then, wished to be alone in her embrace.
