She overheard them talking about dragging the boy in as a captive, surely they had to realize that was just another mouth to feed, but it was their victory. A kid was of no concern to her, if they wanted to toy with him it would be the boy's fault for trespassing so blatantly.

She too had noticed Black Hat's arrival, but she did not bother acknowledging him. Dude crept around kids, that was enough for her to dislike him. She had seen enough, and she had no need to step in, so while the pups took their new captive to the pit, she would be on her way.
