The warm spring air had drawn Valtyr away from the safety of the Plateau to the wilds as he grew from adolescent to young adult. His time spent under Pura's tutelage armed him with some skills necessary for survival as a solitary wanderer - though it was a life half-filled. Though the forest was lush with new growth, hunting was difficult for the reedy teen who was scarcely swift or sure-footed. He managed to get by but was often left pondering why he had even left at all. 

The smell of new flowers and rich loam perfumed the afternoon air as the Sveijarn moved Northwards into the Taiga. Originally, he had followed Saena's scent this way - though her trail had soon run cold. Now, he was at a crossroads. Keep heading this way or turn about East towards the valley?
