Potema had become a wanderer at a young age. Voices whispered to her, beckoning the young princess away from her castle and off on adventures in the dark wolves that was her home. Her latest escapade began when she followed the strange, maternal voice that spoke to her the most. She called it "mama too", since it reminded her of her mother, naturally.
"Mama too" led the young princess to the northeast, towards the muddy smell that she sometimes scented on her mother. It tired her to walk so far with such small and weak legs, but she was two months old now, and stronger than before. Potema sank into the soft ground when she found the silent swamp that "mama too" told her to go. She wasn't sure why, but she followed the voice anyway. So far, the voices haven't led her to much danger, and as such, she had no reason to fear them.
When the princess regained her breath, she looked about at the silent land around her. It was very, very quiet, lacking the caws of ravens and crows, the howls of her packmates. Potema's indigo eyes widened as she waddled through the muck and found something unknown to her. A glowing ball of light dancing in the air. The girl squealed happily at the pretty sight, standing on her hind paws as she swept at it, only to fall. The light moved away at its own occur, heading deeper into the swamp. Potema scrambled up and followed it, unaware that it could potentially lead her to danger.

Damien was learning to be sneaky. Unlike Cicero, the shadow pup had picked up pretty easily the lessons he'd had with daddy, and now he was putting it to practice as he stalked Potema out of the den and away from the rendezvous site. The sky-eyed girl walked for hours, and Damien followed. She was going to a place where the eldest son had never been before, it was a silent place, very silent, and the puddles abounded.
Although still covered by snow, the forest was pretty dark, and nothing could be more beneficial for the dark pup than an obscured path to go unnoticed by his sister, and just to be more sneaky than the sneakiest sneaker, the shadow pup moved through the lowest bushes. But then, things got really weird. Suddenly, a blue light appeared in front of the snowy princess, it was dancing in the air, so ethereal, so magical that the shadow pup was left open-mouthed at its sight. Potema tried to reach out for it, failing epically, but the pup was too amazed to care about his sister.
There was little that Damien could do to avoid being really intrigued about the new discovery, and driven by his adventurous heart, the eldest Melonii sprinted through the shadows and out of the bushes. He was going to catch the light, with a jump over his sister, the pup attempted to grab the dancing light, but for some strange reason, his paws got right through it and he landed on the ground, empty-handed and right on his belly.

Potema, in her schizophrenic stupor, did not notice her brother stalking her. She would not be an assassin or a spy like Damien and Cicero would. Instead, she was a wolf of mystics, the mind, and herb lore. But not yet. Until then, Potema was a wandering child, disturbed by the voices in her head.
As she batted at the wisp, missing spectacularly, falling on the floor just as her brother jumped over her, and fell as well. Potema's nose twitched adorably at the sight, her face twisted in a cute expression of confusion. The wisp, however, caught her attention again as it floated away, disappearing in the air. Potema squeaked indignantly at her brother. "Joo scuwared eet!" The white princess jumped onto her fallen brother, biting his ear in reprimand.

Damien looked up at the blue ghost again, trying to decipher what it was, but something was pulling it away from them, deep into the swampy land until it disappeared. He was about to shriek for it to come back when his sister started accusing him for scaring the wisp. "Nah I din't!" he squeaked in return.
He was just finally catching his breath back when his whiny little sister started attacking his ear. He wasn't in a comfortable position to defend himself so he struggled to get on his paws and dominate his sister for a thousandth time.

"Yas did!" Potema's squeak was muffled by her brother's big, fluffy ear. She fastened those little thorns deep into the black triangle, pushing down on her larger brother in an attempt to pin him. It would fail. She was much lighter than her brothers, and was not developing the muscle that they were from their time of playfighting with the adults. If pushed a little more, Potema would tumbled easily, without a fight, even if she tried.

Sorry! You have my permission to hate me, school's being a bitch all over again...
Damien soon got his sister off his turf with a brusque push. Potema would probably get hurt by his brother's violent reaction, but Damien still didn't have the self control to measure that, he just reacted and did his will, showing his dominance as it was just natural.
"G'off me!" Damien growled after pushing his sister aside and then he got on top of her just to show her who's boss. "Potma baby cry!" the cub stated and got off to look around for the blue ghost he'd seen just seconds ago. Where was that little sneaky bastard?

Potema tumbled over, bending back her paw in the process. She sobbed softly as she tried to stand, her ankle twisted, then burst into full blown tears after Damien left her. The princess cried loud and hard, her body shaking with the sobs. "Dam'en meanie!! Want mama!! Paw huuurt!!!" She toddled after her brother, afraid to be alone even if he was a meanie-butt. The girl limped slightly, but the muscles were not torn in a way that would leave her limping for weeks. She would heal with a few hour's rest, but for now, the pain was unbearable for the princess.
March 21, 2015, 07:40 PM
His concentration was fully focused on the wisps, he was trying to find another one to catch it and show Potema how it's done, but her cries quickly picked his brotherly instincts. He turned around to face Potema who limped behind him. It looked painful, her ankle swollen already, and Damien licked it with affection. He didn't want his sister to hurt for real, it was just a puppy game, it wasn't supposed to be so serious, and although he didn't fully understand what was so painful he wanted to make sure his little sister was alright. "Paw hurt?" Damien asked flattening his ears with regret. "Sorry Damien. I paw." he offered as his face saddened.
March 28, 2015, 10:27 AM
Potema whimpered, tears spilling in fat drops from her eyes as she pouted. Damien had come back, his eyes sorrowful as she apologized. He lapped at her paw, flaring up a bit of pain from the slowly swelling appendage. "Da'men meanie." She pursed her lips, despite actually being surprised and relieved he wasn't so cold hearted. "Wanna go home. See blueies la'er" She murmured, leaning on her other paws to relieve the pain.

indentDamien flattened his ears in an apologetic expression, and with a nudge to his sister's cheek, the shadow pup set paw to walk back home. He was just so used to rough play that he didn't always realize that he was being too agressive, but the last thing he wanted was to hurt his siblings, he loved them too much, and being called a "meanie" wasn't a great thing on Damien's opinion. "Mommy heal you paw. Big ouchy ouch??" he said while pressing his sister's side with his body to help her walk. He knew Potema didn't want to put any weight on the damaged paw, so he tried to be a good brother to make up for the "meanie"-ness...
March 31, 2015, 06:56 PM
The white princess gently placed her injured paw on the ground, testing her weight on the sprained appendage. The instant she touched the floor, her paw instantly retreated back to the air. Tears appeared in her eyes, and she bit her lip in pain. "Call mama. No walk." She sniffed, pressing against her brother for support. She tried to hop forward, but lost her balance almost immediately. "Call mama..."

indentDamien looked with concern as his sister failed to walk by herself. What had he done. He felt like a terrible big brother. But lickily, they had mommy, and Potema had been fast ti think about looking for adult help. She would know what to do. She would fix it, she always did.
indent"Wait Pooma, Damien go mommy paw." he comunicated his sister, and with a hop he set foot to go for mommy, he knew his way back to the den, but then he remembered Pooma would have to stay alone while he went for mommy. What to do. He halted to a stop, almost losing his balance in the process, and then he looked back at his sister. "No go?" he asked, concerned. He would have to do something else. He'd seen the older guys do that thing that magically made others appear after a short while. He'd need to try. "Hool, Pooma?" the dark pup suggested, he had never done this thing. He tilted his head back and his muzzle made a O shape, but for as hard as he tried, he only got a high pitched squeak the would never make it all the way to the den. He looked back at his sister, ears flat on his head. What were they going to do?

Potema whimpered, sitting back on her haunches, holding her injured paw up slightly in the air. She shifted, her eyes leaking tears down her face as Damien walked away. "No go." The princess flinched, hearing a voice in her ears again that whispered nonsense for a brief moment, muffling whatever Damien said next. She merely blinked as Damien tipped his head back, forcing a squeak from his mouth. Potema understood what he was trying to do. Call for mama.
The white princess shifted again, forcing herself into the same position as Damien. She tried to howl, her attempt succeeding far better than Damien's. She managed a longer call, though it was not as sonorous and echoing as the howls of the adults. Her ears flopped sadly. "Keep twyin'."

We should start wrapping this up :)
indentAnd then Potema failed too.
indentHow did adults do that all the time? It didn't look that hard when they did it. Maybe they were doing something wrong, and Damien got scared because Potema was Ouchy-ouch and he wasn't being of any help. "ArwooOOooOOoO!!!" the pup yelled, failing to make it sound like a howl but being as lour as he could. He needed mommy to come help them and he needed it to happen NOW!
indent"Moomy will come Pooma, Don' be scawed" he tried to comfort his sister tapping her underchin with his snout. "Pooma?" He said after a silence, "W... Will..." he hesitated for a moment, "Will you.. fowgif Dameen?" the pup asked, flat ears and sad eyes. He was truly regretful of his meanie behavior. :(

It's so cute though. ; u ; Alright, last post for me
"'m not swared!" The princess declared, though her trembling lip and tear-stained cheeks stated otherwise. "'sides, we still 'ome." She tried to reassure herself and her brother with the statement, though the lack of wolf scent in these swamps frightened her. It was still Blackfeather Woods, wasn't it?
Potema, blinked at her brother's somber expression. Even though she was the same age as Damien, the look on his face still had the same effect on her that it did her mother. How could you not want to forgive him with that look? "Yeah. I fo'giv' jou, Da'men." She said, pressing against her brother, glad that he wasn't such a meanie-butt after all.
