From Elysium's territory, Lucas followed the mountains south. He hadn't been present for it but he knew his mother and aunt had gone to a pack in the mountains in an effort to collect Piper before everything went to hell. Seeing as they hadn't found a place with Swiftcurrent Creek or Elysium and Lost Creek Hollow wasn't an option for them, his next assumption was that they had gone back there. They knew Stigmata and they knew Piper approved of the pack. Being almost entirely unaware of everything that had transpired between the former Bearclaw wolves, Lucas reckoned it was a safe bet.
He arrived some days later after searching painstakingly through the foothills for the scent of others. He stood sturdy near their claim, where the scent of the borders was just fading out into the surrounding lands. Close enough to speak with a resident and not close enough to cause any concern was what he was going for. With a flicker of his ears, the yearling lifted his voice in a boisterous song, calling not only for his mother and aunt, whom he was sure were here, but for the pack's leaders as well.
