Vectra was once again out early in the morning, enjoying the morning mist. She tended to do such a lot more often, especially since all the recent havoc that had plagued the pack. These were her moments of peace, of silence. When she could let the world fall away from her and relax. Vectra walked slowly through the woods, heading for one of her favorite spots. A nice stream with a decent view, not to many trees, and not to few. Vectra eventually came upon her desired area, now that she was here she sat, the mist was not thick, but they were in a mountain valley, it would linger a hour or two from the sun's rising. She enjoyed watching the mist dance as it slowly faded away, it was so free of the worries of the world. She often wondered if the afterlife would be like that, carefree and kind.

The sun always rose again. Despite the darkness of the night and the cold of the night, the rays of the sun always managed to fight their way back into the sky. While the few clouds were tainted pink, an orange light shimmered along the flanks of the pale yearling. Igniting her coat with a golden glow.
Her eyes, also kissed by the gold of the rising sun, rested on the silhouette of a familiar female. With silent but quick steps she approached, keeping her ears pricked towards the girl she had decided would be her friend. She had known so since the time she met her at Tyrande's den.
"Good morning", she greeted while whipping her tail from one side to another.
Vectra turned as she was greeted by their new alphess, a smile brought to her face that she had been brought with enjoyable company. Vectra wagged her tail as well in a happy greeting "morning, are you fairing well my alpha? I hope the pack is not giving you trouble for your new rank" Vectra had not forgotten the last time her and cara were near each other in lighter times, Cara a Tyranade didn't seem to hit it off, for all Vectra knew, that could be the case elsewhere. Of course the loyal warrior would happily lend life a limb to amend a infraction in the ranks, they didn't need unruly members in these hard times.

When Cara first greeted her, she had not even remembered the rust kissed femme was now one of her subordinates. Becoming Alpha of the Ouroboros was so unexpected yet so gratifying. Since she had met Vectra, Cara had already decided she'd befriend the rusty girl, but when she recieved the title of Alpha Cara had decided to work on her relations with each and all of the pack members. There were some she didn't even know their names! That had to change, as well as her relation with Tyrande.
With Lecter nearing the cliffs of death, it was important that the witch stayed at the Spine. As much as she hated to do so, Cara would be willing to swallow her pride if it'd mean Tyrande would aid the pack with her knowledge.
But that was to be dealed with later. For now the new queen rested his eyes on Vectra, her adulating words pleased her ego and so the frost Alpha stretched her neck to press her nose affectionately against her new friend's ( because she had decided she was already a friend) forehead.
"I'm very well, how are you?", she asked. She was not worried anyone would give her trouble. If they did, she'd simply give them the boot.
Vectra nosed the new queens chin, as of course she was doing fine "i am good, a little... Melancholy, but are we are a bit sad for Jinx and lecter?" she explained, her soft voice somewhat wise, she knew not why, but she seemed to be alright with this, change. It was a part of life, and she was fine with it as long as she could continue her service in this pack.
Vectra's tail swayed softly as she thought about little things for a moment "if you should need any help, do not hesitate to ask me, I will be happy to assist" the loyal warrior said, as she was here to fight for her leaders, tis what she intended to do.

Melancholy fell short when it came to describing Cara's feelings.
Seeing a star fall from the highest point of the sky and plummet into the ground was simply devastating. Her precious ruler was nothing more but a bag of rags and bone. But it was not the fact that she had died what had bothered the most --she already knew her queen would be consumed by the illness that had entered her bloodsteam.
No. What really bothered her, was that while she was still aware of her surroundings the yealing never approached to say goodbye. That had been like a jab to her spirit. Though now there was nothing she could do to remediate her flaw. All she could do is take the comfort and trust provided by the rusty female .
"The whole Ouroboros mourns, but smiles too", she whispered. She was convinced that her rise to power would lead to a good future for the Spine wolves.
Vectra understood her new alpha would probably be more sad then anyone. Vectra herself was just getting to know Jinx and Lector, so when they left Vectra felt sad, confused. Many things, but she also felt a sense of duty, The need to continue serving. Lowering her head to lick under Cara's chin she said "I can offer you a bit of advice if I may?" once she had the girls full attention she would continue "Their are now words I feel could explain how I feel at the moment, but I always thought personally, the best way to say farewell to someone... was to make the best of what they left behind for you." The Firey eyed woman told the girl, as she was sure she was close to Jinx, and therefore the most hurt in this sad time, Though Vectra's words may have been a bit confusing, Vectra was trying to tell her that times were tough. And we should struggle on with pride, pride that our leaders before us trust that we can lead their pack like they did.
