Gailiv was starting to relish Wheeling Gull Isle. She stood in the midst of the many tide pools, watching how the breeze made holes in the water's surface. Itty bitty shells, most of them abandoned, dotted the way. It was gorgeous. Even now, as winter hung over the Teekon Wilds. So the sky was dull. So what? In the darkened mirrors of the pools it looked like thunder would errupt and lightening would strike at her feet.
Who wouldn't love that?
Well she thought. Gailiv thought quietly to herself as she often did.
"Silent, still, and deathly calm
Sodden earth to host a swarm
Of puddles, alive with this and that
But softly does she blow
The wind to make the water flow
The mussels, clams, stranded thusly
The limpet, the hermit's hat
Til the sea comes in again
Then stuck once more
When the tide does leave
Then greets another: the winter rain."

Body slaps against the sand, smashing shells into the sands beneath. The distance shows a golden canine. She is Goddess of Tide Pools. Winter has come, but King Buku is immune. His blubber is thick and warm. The thunder threatens them, and he sees she is Goddess of Thunder and not pools. From the sea King Buku comes, rolling toward the Goddess before bowing from a wave that reveals him. Loudly he calls to the Electric Goddess,
OH GODDESS OF ELECTRIC THUNDER, IT IS KING BUKU TO HEAR YOUR GREAT SONG!

To say she was shocked would be a major understatement. Gailiv was from Belize, she'd never in her life seen a creature like this before. It was great and hulking, full of an amazing energy for something so huge.
"I - I am not a goddess -" she stammered... What else could she say? She'd never been mistaken for a goddess before.
"but - I can sing you a song, if you like?"
She was truly lost for words and wasn't sure anything would come out, but she started:
"Oh giant of the raging sands,
Oh hunter of the seas and strands,
With teeth to crush, foe or feast,
Oh magnificent, ocean beast.
So I stand in awe, of might itself,
Emerging from the deepest sea,
Here I am on the rocky shelf,
And this hunter stands here before me.
Will he be friend, will he be foe?
Has he come to harm me?
Oh I hope he is friend, for I shall sing,
Of his conquests and tales,
In Winter or Spring,
Oh mighty creature, strong as steel
Accept my song,
And be my kin"

The Thunder Goddess insists that she is not the Goddess. Buku shakes his huge head in argument, then switches to heavy nodding as the Electric Goddess begins to sing. Her voice is soft. Her ballid is about King Buku. She sings like a Goddess of Song. King Buku sees the Songstress and bellows loud and long in approval.
The skies tell him of her future, though clouds prevent any from showing.
KING BUKU APPROVES! OH GODDESS OF THUNDER AND SONG, YOUR POWER IS GREAT, AND SHALL ONLY BECOME GREATER SAY THE STARS!

He was unusual, but Gailiv liked him. At least he approved of her song, she'd hate to be in a fight with one of such size and power.
She certainly wasn't a goddess, but she could see she'd get nowhere by arguing. So Gailiv tried another tactic:
"Oh great King Buku, it is an honour to meet you. Any time you wish for a song, I will sing for you," she said to him, calmly despite her inner fear of becoming his lunch. But he was a character, and indeed she did like him, and smiled sweetly at him.

Buku sees that the Goddess knows a king when she sees one, and this gives the sea lion great pride. For her, he poses strong and tall, sticking his great chest out so that she might see the thickness of his neck and beautiful folds in his skin.
KING BUKU IS GLAD OF IT, TO HAVE SUCH POWER IN SONGS BRINGS MERRIMENT!With his massive bulk he rolled forward so that he might see the rare beauty of the heavens before him in her golden fur.
WHERE IS YOUR GOD OF STORM? HE IS MEANT TO BE WITH GODDESS OF ELECTRIC SONG, SO SAY THE SKIES.Despite him moving closer, he does not cease his shouting.
