The follow-up of this thread. Thanks guys! Tagging leadership as well: @Alaric (and @Killdeer, in case you still wanted some bear drama!))
Spring came, and it came with change. It always did.
The boar emerged from the den he had dug in early November, taking his first breath of fresh air since falling into hibernation. It was a beautiful moment, no doubt about that, but it was only hunger that filled his often one-track mind.
Deep, nearly laborious sniffs were taken. There were less wolves here now, he was sure of that; but hopefully not less leftovers for him to snack on. Grunting, he began up the mountain in search of something to eat.
Strong paws, stronger wills, the lumbering creature felt no need to be subtle about his awakening, especially not when he had made a friend in little wolf prior to his long rest. Even without such a friendship he felt no fear; wolves were easy enough to smack off and send home whining and wounded.
Pausing once more, he searched for the scent of something, anything he could eat, at least until he found something more. He just needed enough to power him down the mountain.

Bear Speak

She woke up this morning full of doubts. If her father left, did she really want to stay behind? That would mean missing out on her younger siblings, never mind the ones anaa might bear in some faraway place. The thought had Treepie sniffling back tears as she approached an icy mountain spring and splashed some cold water on her face. She scrubbed at it.
Tiuttuk knew she should sit down and have a conversation with him, though she wasn’t quite ready yet. Instead, she went looking for Alaric or Tikaani. Did they know about these plans? What did they think? Would anyone at all stay with her if she did remain here? Or would Pie one day soon become the only soul living on Moonspear?
That thought was still echoing in her head when she saw the bear lumbering up the rocky slopes, headed right toward her.

I figured I’d repurpose this post to scoop this, hope that’s cool! :)

You're totally welcome, happy to have you!
Wolf stands ahead. He does not know this one, but he does know that a wolf can feed him; whether purposefully, or by him finding a cache it may have came from. Today he is not in the mood to wait, so the latter is what he plans to aim for.
Rising to his back legs once he hits a stable piece of land, he let's out a long growl followed by a huff. The boar is irritable and not looking to waste time; there is no fighting to be done here, not in his mind, the only answer is for the wolf to move from his path.

She didn’t even think, she simply acted. Treepie ducked into a crouch and scurried out of the bear’s path, moving as swiftly as she could while looking over her shoulder. She didn’t dare take her eyes off it—him, she thought, nose swamped suddenly with his ursine scent—and they went wide as saucers when he rose up on his hind legs.
She dashed just a little further, then spun to face the bear from a good distance. Pie breathed hard, the whites of her eyes showing a little as she ascertained the much larger predator. Her instincts commanded her to flee properly, though for reasons she could not explain, Tiuttuk stood her ground.

It ran, but it did not go far. It did not move far enough from his path.
Front paws hitting the ground once more, he gave a heavy grunt and began to stalk forwards. To be challenged by something so small was out of the ordinary - was it infected with something? Rabies maybe? He hesitated for a short moment as the thought crossed his mind.
But no, there were more important things. His stomach was long empty, and he was tired of this interaction by now. A single wolf on it's own was no real threat.

Every blade of fur on her body stood on end when the bear swung in her direction and took several steps. She cringed, ready to run again, but then he stopped. Treepie blinked at him, then slowly rose and straightened her legs.
A wiser wolf might have seen the presence of such a formidable beast as a sign to follow her father away from this place. But the thought sent a ripple up her spine, which turned to steel. She wouldn’t let anything chase her from this mount.
She tipped her chin ever so slightly, a silent nod of respect to the grizzly. Her pulse throbbed in her throat as she waited to see what he might do next.

Wolves were strange creatures. Maybe one day he would learn to understand their etiquette.
This wolf in particular seemed rather stubborn. He decided that maybe it would save time to see what he could find after leaving the mountain; it would be easier to spot carcasses down there anyways.
Eyeing it for a moment longer, the bear turns around and begins his trek down the mountain. For now the wolf has won in their brief war of wills.

The bear only eyed her. She flinched a little when he moved a moment later, though he only shuffled down the rocky slopes. Treepie swallowed and tracked his movements, her pulse still fluttering. Her legs suddenly felt like jelly.
She stood there until her heartbeat slowed. Her legs still trembled a little as she discarded her earlier notion of tracking down Alaric and Tiki. Even if the bear hadn’t done her any harm, Tiuttuk still needed to inform everyone about what was now loose on Moonspear.
Clearing her throat, the songbird trilled a warning to her brethren. She then spun on a heel and began climbing in the opposite direction from the grizzly: up, up and away…
