As Kat has decided to have this for the weekly hunt, I believe that would make this a pack hunt, and so it would count as a pack activity? Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Until then, next round starts on the 1st (Round edit: February has one less day than I thought) 2nd of March!
Somnia stood on the western ridge of the Caldera, where it sloped upwards before dropping sharply. It was a great look-out point, for one could see a very far distance with the flat plains that surrounded Redhawk Caldera. Those flat plains were dotted with various ungulates.
She would summon the pack here. They were far enough away that any howls that had already been sounded from within the Caldera from the past few weeks hadn't sent the distant ungulates scattering, so this one shouldn't either. Plus, they were in the wide open fields, which meant they could spot any approaching wolves from a ways off. Why would they need to fear the sounds of distant wolves when there were no signs of a hunt taking place. So, Somnia howled to summon the pack, inviting them to join her for a hunt. Besides, the ungulates couldn't know the meaning of this howl.
Besides, with the disadvantage of no coverage, they would need a plan before they got anywhere near them.

Somnia's howl drew Elwood's attention immediately, and he turned his paws to the west. She was summoning her packmates for a hunt; perhaps this would be the unifying activity that the group needed. There had still been some underlying tension after Fox's gathering, but Elwood hoped that it would dissipate with time. Perhaps getting back to their roots and relying on their instincts would help.
It didn't take long for him to find his friend. She was waiting patiently at the top of the ridge, looking down on the expanse below. Elwood crept up next to her, moving carefully on the uneven ground, and nudged her shoulder with his nose. He then peered over the edge, his gaze falling on the prey that could be seen from their vantage point.
"Looks like a good day for a hunt," he commented; he hoped that others would join them soon.

Fresh on the heels of Fox's challenge to him, Jaws had been out scouting for signs of badgers, but so far he had not come up short. He was undeterred however, there was plenty of territory left to check, including the outer reaches. The coywolf was about to make a pass by his den to have a chew on one of the deer bones he had collected when he heard the howl.
For a moment, the Jaws felt mildly irritated. He had set his mind to chewing on that bone and hated to be called away from it. He had to remind himself that it was part of being a pack wolf, one of those things he would have to get used to. So far he was not being asked for much in exchange for the comfortable life he was living - he had shelter, and always a fully belly whether he hunted for it or plucked it from the cache, usually the former.
By the time the coywolf found Somnia, she was already accompanied by Elwood. Jaws approached the pair quietly and dipped his head, offering a simple greeting rather than being awkwardly quiet like he often was. "Hey," he said.
