The youngsters eyes fearfully stared into the darkness. His gaze switched from that to the snout thrusting towards him. He managed to dodge the fangs a few times, though the last couple of times the male managed to rip skin and fur from his chest.
Leo wanted Peregrine to go away. This was too much for him to handle. Why did he have to be the only pup that was a target? He snapped at the man's nose until he heard those voices. You fool!, they hissed, The man before shalt tear you apart if you retailate. Stay away from the fangs and he will not get your blood. So he did. Leo scooted in the small corner of the hole, making his body small to avoid the teeth.
