Larksong Grotto Mama Nova

Though Nova had scented the strangers drawing near, Jhala called to her before the elder had the chance to finish her rabbit and get to the borders. This burned the nosy part of her self, the one that craved to know just to know, but she would not resist the call of her Grand Vicar. So trotting off she went after choking down the rest of her meal, licking her jaws free of blood just as she reached the heart of the Grotto. With a friendly nudge to the brown and white warrior, Nova made carefully for the babies, cooing softly at @Tapat and @Astik in all their tiny, soft glory. The three week boys were the first little pups she'd seen since Tamborine was a little boy -- before that, it was probably her own last litter -- and she'd always had the softest spot for children.

They are born on the 1st of October so they are actually 5 weeks old ;D

Tapat had been playing around the den. He didn't leave much of it because he knew he couldn't remember the way back. The pup looked up when another wolf he hadn't seen came to him. He battered his murky blue eyes up. He was not sure if he had seen this person before or not. The pup looked around for his mother or father but he was quick to realize they weren't there.

He looked for his brother though. The pup curiously looked at the other. "Bwaaaa!!," he let out as he approached the other. He was a curious little fella and was excited to meet others. Often he forgot that he met them so he would get to meet them twice.

While one of the boys, the darker one, was yet unseen to the elder, the paler of the two approached and drew Nova's attention. Plopping down in the entrance -- blocking it with her back while getting a full view of the grotto den -- she flashed a grin at little Tapat and lowered her chin to the ground to be at his level. The golden adventurer giggled softly, breathing warm air towards the little white Larksong child.

Tapat watched how the female lowered her muzzle and he was quick to jump against it with his tail wagging excitedly. He took in her scent but would soon forget it. The young male showered her with licks and excitedly yips. Even though she was not his mother and a total stranger the pup hadn't been taught to be cautious of strangers. He made a playful jump when warm air came over him, before losing his balance a bit and falling over.

The pup lunged playfully for her muzzle, wiggling in excitement and drawing a raspy laugh from the old woman, whom was taking the rough play with ease and sending a few gentle nudges his way. Blowing air on him seemed pretty effective though, as her spectral eyes watched the boy loose his balance and topple over. Reaching forward, the old woman smiled, giggled, and tried to nuzzle Tapat to his paws. 

                   "You're okay, little Tapat."

She was a loving and protective mother, but she'd always believed in letting children learn by experience sometimes. He'd fallen, and now maybe he would see that jumping in that way wouldn't bode well should he try it again. It was an unfortunate irony that he would not retain such a lesson, but she didn't know anything of his memory problems -- perhaps further in the future she would pick up on it, if nobody else had, but not when he was playful and young as should be.

Tapat was helped to his feet by the older lady that was also a stranger to him. Tapat was not afraid of strangers so he was very open and playful with this lady. He jumped up to her muzzle again, because well, he didn't really learn from his mistake. He fell over again, but now jumped to his feet himself. Instantly he was distracted by a leaf and tried to jump on it. He was a playful fella, especially now he was this young. He grabbed it and then turned around to see the female. Woa! He hadn't seen her before had he? He went back to greet her again.
