All Welcome
Ice coated the ground.  It was cold here at the creek, but she expected the same for everywhere else as she felt something as extreme as this would not only just hit them.  How far this actually did stretch though she did not know.

Casmir and Rowan had left, taking their children along with them.  It hurt her truelly that they did not even think to say goodbye and just leave them in this cold, terrible winter.  Casmir her Beta, her second in command... and Rowan who she had let in and given pregnant and given a home to her and her children.

Still even though they were running short on members she would never give up the creek unless she had to.  They would not move unless they had to.  She had faith that her pack could stay strong and pull through this winter.

A baby bump had began to form and now she knew for sure that she was pregnant.  She just hoped that this horrid winter would be over by the time that they were born.  She didn't want them born into aplace so cold, so hopefully it would all thaw, before they were born... but that was only a hope.  She had no idea whether or not it would become true.

Mawk was returning from his.... encounter.... with the lone wolf Illecebra, and though he felt slightly guilty about what he - they - had done, it was done and there was nothing he could do about it. He let out a sigh as he padded through the deep snow, and froze when he saw the alpha, Spring. Would she question his outing? Uneasily, the male headed closer, knowing that he'd have to return to the pack, and sooner rather than later, right?

As the wolfdog approached, he nodded his head in greeting to his alpha and barked a greeting, attempting to seem as casual as possible. "G'mornin', Spring!"

Natashe had tracked her sister down with a rabbit in her jaws, the chilled air stirring her fur and making her shiver. She chuffed awkwardly through a mouthful of fur and sat beside spring, her eyes full of sympathy. Setting down the rabbit she moved forward hesitantly to touch her nose to her sister's shoulder letting a sympathetic keening leave her throat "what they did was wrong. If they wanted out so badly that they would hurt others, they are better off gone" she said softly.

Her eyes lifted to gaze at Mawk Taking note of his seemingly forced casual posture. Sniffing the air she smelled a strange scent on him and gave him a knowing smile, shaking her head as if to say don't say anything, wait to see if she notices. Turning her attention to spring she took a step back, noticing the slight bulge in her sides. Letting out a gasp she flicked her ears back "sait-il? Mangez, vous aurez besoin de la nourriture." Natashe spoke in their shared language, not sure if she would want Mawk to know of her pregnancy.

She jolted back to Earth at the sound of Mawk's voice, her thoughts quieting.  "Good morning Mawk.  How're you doing?"  She hadn't yet noticed the rather interesting scent on Mawk, lucky for him, as she didn't think of him to do something like that anyways, so she just didn't really imply anything or search for anything.

Her gaze then flickered to Natashe as she entered the scene, seeming to just sense what she was thinking about.  She gave a small shrug and a sigh, supposing her sister was right.  Soon though the subject was changed and her sister dove into French, catching her attention.

She knew.

She smiled.  "Oui, Natashe, il sait," she told her with a smile, then in case Nat didn't know she continued, "Le père est Heston.  Je ne pourrais pas demander mieux."
