When the girl continued to growl, the thought of simply 'dropping it' crossed Aurelia's mind. But she didn't, she held on to the stick, tail wagging as slowly the other girl came to realize that being defensive when there is no threat is a lost cause.

With her yellow eyes glued to the brown beauty, Aurelia watched surprised as the girl suddenly let go of the stick she was seconds ago so fervently clutching onto. She wondered if she should do the same, but ultimately decided to hold on. Then, as the girl began to inch close, Aurelia felt the swishing of her tail speed up. 
She woofed a muffled "Hi" before finally dropping the stick at her feet.
