All Welcome
Since the bison attack Nikai's left shoulder and right hip had been stiff. The shoulder had a healing wound and the hip was just sore from the impact. The wound on his left back leg however had not been healing well at all; the wound had been festering and Nikai had not been feeling well himself. He tried to keep it clean, as he could reach it well, but the prospect of licking an infected wound wasn't exactly the best thing so he did it more sparsely than he should. He couldn't put pressure on the leg at all.

Nikai had spent a lot of time with @Steph ever since she had got hurt too. Nikai hadn't thought much of hunting bison, knowing they were bigger and tougher than deer but he hadn't expected them to be so swift and dangerous. Today he was lounging in front of the den he'd been staying at. Walking or even getting up hurt so much that he was still laying down most of the time, only able to limp anywhere. He looked around, hoping for some company, for the worst part of all of this was that he couldn't do anything. He thought idly of Alya, and wondered how she was doing. Hopefully good. Hopefully she'd visit, because obviously he wasn't able to see her right now.

i've assumed @Keoni has been taking care of him medically, but send me a message if not Thalia and i can edit and such! <3 sane for the assumptions i made about him hangin' with Steph, Mary Ellen, I figured it would make sense to keep the wounded in the same place but if you want me to change anything, lemme know!

It took Banner up until a few days ago to decide that she didn't much care for foxes.  It wasn't until she came to Easthollow that they'd been such a damn nuisance in her life.  They just seemed to be everywhere around here!  So obviously she'd made a clean(-ish) kill when she came across one earlier this morning.  He was probably young or sickly - the hunt wasn't anything to write home about.  But she figured she'd at least offer it up to one of her packmates.

And who better than one of their recently injured?  Banner trotted up to the den she knew Nikai occupied while he recovered.  The two weren't close - barely knew each other, really.  During the hunt she'd snapped when he went down and she felt.. well, she didn't know how she felt about it.  What she knew for sure was that a bison had mowed him down and it probably hurt like a bitch.

Glad to see that he was out lounging, Banner slowed and came to a stop a few yards away from him.  Greetings came out in the form of a woof, the sound muffled as it attempted to escape around the fox's ruddy fur.  She wagged her tail for good measure, hoping that she came off as a friendly face instead of some awkward weirdo.

It was good to have company — Nikai smiled as Banner came into view, and a few cheerful taps of his tail to the ground showed that he was glad to see her. He remembered her from the hunt and was happy that she came to visit him. Nikai loved socialising but he hadn't been able to go anywhere due to his injuries, so he wholeheartedly accepted anyone's company, anywhere.

"Heya!" he called out to Banner. He couldn't help but notice the fox in her mouth and the look he gaze it silently questioned if it was for him. Nikai didn't like being dependant on the pack rather than helping provide, not used to being the one receiving help, but he knew he needed it right now.

sorry for the delay ._.

Any hesitation she may have felt in approaching Nikai faded just as quickly as the happy beats of his tail against the earth.  Feeling much more sure of herself, Banner approached him and deposited the fox just in front of his paws.  She didn't want him to have to struggle to take the gift (whenever he so chose, naturally!) and the last thing the male needed was to pull a muscle or strain himself.. in any way.

Hi, she replied in her low voice.  Banner took a step back - she didn't want to be all up in his face - and settled back on her haunches, clearly indicating that she was here to socalize for a bit instead of doing a fox-related drive-by.  I.. thought you might want a.. snack?  The chocolate-colored female attempted a smile to cover up the awkward way she decided to verbalize her intent, but it ended up looking more like a grimace.

Nikai sensed the awkwardness of the situation though he didn't feel uncomfortable himself, at all. He was just grateful someone came over to bring him some food and, more importantly so (because his family made sure he had enough food, for sure), company. "Thanks," he said with a soft smile and he pulled the fox closer. He didn't immediately eat it, thinking it might indicate he didn't want her company.

"It's nice to have some company." Nikai smiled to indicate he was happy that she was here, wanting to make sure that she may visit again sometime. "Sorry for messing up the hunt. I hadn't hunted bison before. They're decidedly different from deer." Nikai grinned sheepishly, feeling a fool for making the mistake but hoping that, considering she'd visited with some food, Banner wasn't too upset over the fumble.

no problem at all. <3
