Silver Creek our ghosts will wander all of the water

Brig laughed at her reply; Adéwalé, on the other hand, seemed rather taken aback by it, squinting as he fluffed his feathers again like he wasn't sure how to respond. The wolf offered his bird companion an amused grin, tail still waving against his back legs, and gave a soft huff when he remained silent. "Sorry," he said, lifting his brows. "He's a little shy." 

Adéwalé scoffed, loudly.

Brig wiggled his ears. "Also kind of an ass."

The woman introduced herself, and Brig nodded along with her words. "Nice to meet you," he said with a particularly excited wag of his tail, and shook his head in response to her question. "Yes, we're on our own." He paused, head tilting as he considered, nostrils flaring hard to try and drag in what scent he could with his useless sense of smell. He could smell her, at least -- and other wolves, very faint -- so maybe -- "You aren't?" It was still a question. He couldn't be entirely certain.
