She couldn't sleep, she couldn't eat and she couldn't get any peace of mind. A part of her knew that what she had done wasn't necessarily good nor bad. She wasn't her past self and she had little memory of what she had ever done. Was she in the wrong for wanting a new start when apparently her old life was nothing but hell? While she had a mate, yes. She knew that too. While she had a mate who loved her endlessly and with no regrets, she had fallen for and kissed another man behind his back. Then she had regained partial memories of her and Mawk and everything went to shit.
Mawk couldn't and wouldn't look at her, he would barely even acknowledge her presence and she didn't know what to do about Howl. She knew she loved Mawk now, not as fiercely as she once had but she loved him nonetheless. She also knew she loved Howl and found him to not only be a close friend but something she would want more from. The thought of leaving Mawk was unbearable at the moment so she did was next best. She left. She walked over the borders and hesitated for a moment, marking her scent once more to show she'd be back and still called this home and smelled both Howl and Mawk's scent her eyes watering before she dashed away. Now there was no temptation and Mawk wouldn't have to see her or smell her. She wouldn't be a reminder of pain, she would stay away from them both for a while.
