Despite the fact that the day was rapidly fading, Rannoch opted to remain in Sleepy Fox Hollow. He knew that prey was nearby, specifically rabbit. Rannoch sought the rodent's scent; his hunger couldn't be dismissed any longer. He was hungry—his appetite hadn't been satiated in days—and he knew that he needed food.

Rannoch knew that he wasn't alone, and he actively avoided interaction. He didn't want any company at the moment—Rannoch just wanted to eat
@Ginsberg! He's hongry.

I know Sunspire has the lack of prey plot going on. Please let me know if it would be unrealistic for her to notice that he would be slightly under weight/need food. <3

The woman had enjoyed the seclusion of the hollow. She thought she might never leave, if only that line of thinking wasn't so far from her lifestyle. While the thrumming of her heart urged her to venture out and beyond, Ginsberg did not feel as though she could find the same solitude that the area had afforded her. Though there were passersby, they never stayed for too long and she always found herself capable of finding peace in spite of them. Were it not for the striking figure, she would have retreated into the trees and found a quiet place for a nap in the sun. Fortunately for Rannoch, Gin had just snagged herself a rather large turkey and was toting it around by its neck.

Ginsberg watched the male from her spot within the brush. There had been something that was said to her by the first wolf she'd happened upon. Food was something that brought others together. The wild woman was not certain of this, only that the kindness was foreign to her. She debated whether or not to share her kill with the male who seemed to be searching for his own prey. The cut of his figure was large and powerful, but he lacked the appropriate meat on his bones. Biting back the social anxiety that clawed down her throat, the feral woman stepped through the brush and dropped the bird near her paws.

“You look hungry.”

Ginsberg's unexpected arrival caught Rannoch off-guard, and he froze the moment that she came into sight. Rannoch was quick to notice the turkey that she had placed at her paws, and he stared almost-longingly at the fowl for a moment too long.

"I am hungry," Rannoch confirmed, as his eyes rose to meet hers. He couldn't help but wonder if the statement had been an offer.

The male confirmed her assumption, but she wouldn't have believed him if he had lied anyway. There was a latching in his gaze that had lingered on her prey for far too long. Knowing that she had eaten recently, the wild woman felt a prick in the back of her mind. Her first encounter had been with a wolf who had been kind enough to offer a piece of her catch. Perhaps it would have done her well to pay it forward. With a quiet sigh, Ginsberg swung the bird by its neck and then released it so that it flew toward the male and landed a few feet away. She motioned with a nod of her muzzle toward the fowl and made an expression that mirrored indifference. “I've eaten recently... was only looking to fill a cache, but I may just leave this area soon enough,” she remarked with a soft shrug. She had known hunger before and she was not interested in forcing it upon another, even if he was a stranger to her.

In an unexpected turn of events, the goose was tossed and landed at Rannoch's paws. Although greed urged for him to dig in, he resisted. Instead, he dipped his head and offered the stranger a smile. "Thank you," he replied with evident appreciation. With his gratitude offered, Rannoch then tore into the cadaver and ate.

After a few satisfying mouthfuls, Rannoch licked his lips and lifted his head— he had had enough for now. "I'm Rannoch, by the way," he offered with a smile, "I'm from Sunspire, the pack settled on the mountain over there." Rannoch motioned for the nearby peak before continuing. "Who are you?"

The shadow watched while the brutish male offered his appreciation before he tore into the flesh of the bird. Feathers seemed to fall here and there without care, and several clung to the edges of his lips before drifting slowly toward the ground. He tore into the meat for several minutes before he finally lifted his head and drew his tongue along his chops, fixing her with the light of his gaze. Ginsberg found him interesting. The vivid sea green of her gaze found the nasty scar on the underside of his throat. There was a story there, she imagined, but she was not likely to ask about it until they had found some ground between them.

An introduction was offered by the silver-draped figure. He called himself Rannoch and claimed the mountain near where they stood. The wildling furrowed her brows and turned her attention toward the jutting figure that was called Sunspire. It was then that she noted the scent on his coat was similar to another that she had found. “I met Coelho a few days ago,” she offered with a curt nod. Then, the savage woman drew her skull upward and stiffened her ears atop her crown. “I'm Ginsberg.”

Ginsberg authored an intriguing fact—she had met Coehlo days prior. "Did you?" Rannoch replied, obviously interested in the finer details of her experience.

When he was given her name, Rannoch nodded and repeated, "Ginsberg,—it's nice to meet you."

Did you?

She nodded her head in a simple way, confirming that she had indeed come across his pack member. The golden female had been a peculiar delight, in her own way. It had been surprising that Ginsberg had enjoyed her company as much as she had, especially when she had never really been fond of those who spoke so openly. It had often been difficult for her to keep up with them.

Just like Coelho, this Rannoch was incredibly kind and offered her a few polite words. She nodded her head a bit and cast him a small, half-smile. “Nice to meet you too. That mountain not have a lot of food?” she then returned to him. It was curious that the coywolf and this brute were both searching for food outside of their territory. She wondered if they were suffering through famine.

"No," he confirmed, "It doesn't." Although the famine wasn't something that Rannoch liked to discuss, he knew there was no reason for him to pussyfoot around the matter. "We quickly went through the resources that the mountain provided us, and now we're seeking a home elsewhere."

Curious, he posed a question, "Is your home around here?" She didn't smell like any of Sunspire's neighboring packs—that much he knew from his first whiff of her.
