He departed from @Grezig and her phantom man with haste, respectfully as he could.  Such a thing was not uncommon where he came from, but he still felt as if he'd been intruding on something he rather would've remained ignorant of.  It does not escape him that perhaps that is why she'd been buttering him up, and he is glad that she found it between the forelimbs of someone that — well, that wasn't him.

He forged south instead of back towards his temporary home.  He had come to the decision that he'd have to find another pack to join; with how Liri had treated Grezig, and how many other capable men there were in the pack, his effort would go to waste there.  He'd have to find somewhere a little more needy, and with winter so close upon the horizon he wasn't quite sure if he'd have any luck.

Beneath the stars he lays beneath a bare, twisted tree, basking in the solitude.

It had been a few days since his encounter with the wolf of Blackfeather Woods, and since that thread is ongoing we're going to be as vague as possible here, womp womp. Lets just say he had some tense words with the guard and some stuff happened but he eventually made his way north from the forest, and paused only when the scent in the air changed.

Tulimaq had been lingering on the banks of a massive lake for a few hours, wandering without any real purpose, when he realized the water had emptied along the vein of a river and he was suddenly at a crossroads. He was usually more attentive than this. As he crept through the hollow he chose to unburden himself of his many thoughts of home, of the valley, of the limited prospects therein - and he focused on the here and now, the road ahead. Perhaps the packs of this territory would be more adequate for his purposes (although after his negative reception at the dark wood, he was thinking that wouldn't be the case).

The man took a deep breath of the winter air, feeling the spray of the river as he wandered along its edge, but he stopped short. There was a figure nearby, settled beneath a tree, and didn't seem like he was eager to move. As Tulimaq approached (his curiosity always a driving factor) he noticed a layered scent to the ghost — a pack scent, he assumed. So he chuffed lowly to get their attention, and eased to a stop, appearing to loiter.
