All Welcome
@Cry maybe we can do a caregivery-midwife type thread about fertility?

If there was one thing Iksra knew about the world, is that it was incompatible with happiness at every level, even the most superficial of joys. Even the glow of soft-dust snow in the early morning was temporary, even the call of birdsong was pleasure that would fade with its echoes off mountain walls.

There was a saying, that shamans in her tribe would refer to-- a proverb that would be said to chase off the inevitable melancholy life brought about. 'Though the sun lives more deeply with them, I will not go'-- to recognise the foolhardy nature of life and living, and still keep the track ahead you lit with hope. The view out across the forest was beautiful, a wide spread undergrowth dappled by sunlight and filled with the widest variety of green plants that Iskra has encountered for years.

But still, as the edges of ropey scars appear in her vision, a melancholy settles heavy over her demeanour.
