for @Acheron @Spica @Syrma if yall have space for it <3
His paws are filthy, and he can't stand it. The feeling of dirt between his toes is enough to drive him crazy, though he does his best to ignore it as he searches for his siblings. It'd been necessary anyway — or at least, he thinks so. A torn, pathetic-looking plant hangs from his jaws, roots and all; battered as it is, even the brilliant orange flowers are drooping. He's seen his mother with this plant before, and though he isn't quite sure what she does with it, he's determined to find out. So when he (presumably) spots his sibling(s), he marches right up to them, spits the plant out, and says: Look. Like mom. Except not really like mom, because her plants look far less sad and beaten, but he hopes no one will notice.

He was working on his favorite stick, settled in the thicket that mom had moved them to. He rarely wandered very far, never wanting to cause their mother any unneccessary worry since she seemed to worry about so many. He had chewed his stick so much that he had taken it down to almost a half of its original size, and he was set on chewing the entire thing to pieces eventually.

His project was paused, though, at the sudden appearance of his brother with a glob of very sad looking plants hanging from his mouth. He inspected the mess of flower petals and stems with great interest as Castor spit them on the ground in front of him. When he looked back to his brother, his eyebrows were scrunched together in confusion. Mom's are never all squished, Acheron commented.
I just keep elevating, no losses, just upgrading

Spica was bored. Bored, bored, bored. She tugged @Syrma's ear a hundred times that day while shouting Swym, Swym, Swym! in between for absolutely no reason at all. So when one of her brothers showed up with Something To Do, Spica was instantly interested (and possibly her twin was relieved to be rid of her attention for a little bit). What'sat? she asked before getting into view, swallowing half of the words she was saying.

While her siblings were still in the 'Mom is cool' phase, Spica was getting past that already. She was her own person and a pretty unique special snowflake at that, so she didn't need to be like mom. She snorted indignantly and said, Who wants to be like mom?? Mom was nice and all, but to aspire to be like her? That was way too far for Spica - maybe even a little embarrassing - and the ridiculing tone of her voice suggested that her brother should feel the same.
the beginning is half of everything

Were it not for Spica and her rallying cries, her own boredom probably would have readily moved on to tiredness as soon as she had nothing else to immediately do except volley with her sister or whatever else. Buuut, interest in anything her twin might find to get into kept her going for now, if not a few paces behind. Syrma picked up that pace when she heard Spica say what'sat, though; that was enough to urge her on towards her brothers, too, with big wide eyes and ears up tall.

But.. oh, she had sidled up beside Spica and prompted frowned when she saw that it was just some smashed up plants and her brothers (one of which was dirty, the other with his stinky stick). Unimpressed, she sat herself down with a huff and watched to see what they would have to say now over her sister's shoulders, of course.
