The first round will end on August 6th; in the first round, I will be assuming that 'the pack' is already here - I will not make reference to any specific wolves, though. As usual, if you would like your wolf to participate but do not have time to post, PM me permission to power-play. :)

@Njal @Tuwawi @Scimitar @Shadow @Danica @Galileo @Leaf @Kaskara @Magpie @Kieran @Paarthurnax @Razo

Scimitar's calm was like a soothing balm against the freshly appointed Alpha's frayed nerves. With his help, she stayed focused long enough to make some important decisions - about Fox, and the future of about Swiftcurrent Creek. Because it did have one. The pack's lower ranks were constantly overflowing with fresh recruits, and it had a staunch following of loyal veterans.

Bazi watched them file into the rendezvous point - a semi-circle of well-trodden earth the inside curve of a subtle kink in the river. She had her back to the water and Scimitar at her side, towering above her like a vast sentinel. Each new arrival was given a nod and varying degrees of a smile depending on how well Bazi knew them, and whether she trusted them to take her side in this tumultuous time. Whatever happened, the wolves of Swiftcurrent Creek had a future as a pack - even if its sandy banks did not.

"You're probably wondering what happened to Fox. She isn't dead, let me just... clarify that now." Bazi swept her blue gaze over the gathering, trying to catch anyone looking too relieved. "She accepted her guilt over the Sunspire situation. It could very easily have been much, much worse. You must trust me when I say that Ferdie von Pelt is not a sane wolf, even if he kept our Leaf and Magpie fed and ultimately returned them. We will all do well to steer clear of the Sunspire." She paused again, letting that information sink in. Magpie and Leaf might very well have a different story to tell, but they didn't know.

"That makes me your Alpha by default. I am appointing Scimitar as my Beta, effective immediately - he has served the pack well, and led you all in a successful hunt." And he's older than me, but she didn't say that. "Since Njal and Tuwawi have their paws full with four children, I would also like to appoint two counsellors from the lower tiers to help govern the pack.. but I would like you to choose them. I nominate Danica and Galileo. Please - speak your nomination, and ask whatever questions you need to."

The plan was in motion (though she secretly hoped that no questions were forthcoming). Fox's leadership had been marred by her youth, and Bazi was damned if she would make the same mistakes. Scimitar was everything a pack could want in an alpha - serious, older, regal. He would inspire confidence in the leadership as a whole, leaving Bazi room to grow into her role. Because she was no Shar-Kali.

Not yet.

Since her arrival, Paarthurnax sensed a great deal of tension throughout the ranks. Swiftcurrent Creek was indeed a large pack compared to those she'd most recently been a part of, though it's numbers were nowhere near as great as Samarkand's. The land on which they'd lived had been vast and open, but crowded. And despite this, it had often been a lonely place for her. Swiftcurrent was different. It was ideal. She just needed to help it heal, starting with its many wounded.

Scimitar and Danica seemed to be on the mend, and she was glad to see the beginning of improvements in them already. It had only been perhaps a week since she's first seen to their injuries, and it looks like they were taking better care of themselves. As she prepared to look around for any other wolves who may be in need of her assistance, her attention was dragged away when Bazi started to speak. Paarthurnax looked her way, a puzzled look marrying her lovely features. She was unaware of altercation with a neighbouring pack, and had not questioned her patients in regard to how they'd gotten their wounds. But Paar began to put together the pieces of the puzzle, though she couldn't doubt the new feelings of uneasiness that groped her heart.

The crimson wolf did not put forth any nominations for councillers, simply because she did not know anyone well enough to be appointed such a task. She did have questions, but not the kind she wished to ask it loud. Instead she remained quiet, concerns racking her mind, and waited for this unsettling meeting to further progress.

Finally the Swiftcurrent wolves were going to get some answers. Danica knew that Bazi was dealing with a lot but it did not make the wait any easier. It had seemed as if the entire Creek ground to a halt, milling about undecidedly while they waited for some sort of guidance. It hadn't been a bad time for such inactivity, though.

Danica's side pain had lessened considerably... then again, that had been the lesser of her wounds to begin with. Her leg still throbbed but she walked easier and the burning had eased to a more manageable level. It would still be some time before she was 100 percent but she could move about much more. Grudgingly she had to accept that Paarthurnax knew her stuff. She was a bit in her debt there.

The golden wolf was happy to see that Bazi looked much better, more sure of herself. Though that small voice in her head that refused to shut up wondered how much Scimitar had to do with the improvement. Forcing the ungrateful side down, she listened to the news. She had been looking forward to this.

It was a true relief to hear that Fox was not dead. Danica had enjoyed her company while she had ruled. Her agreement with Fox's actions showed her as well why she could never be an Alpha... if she was less inclined to disagreeableness she might have taken off with Fox in that fight. As it was, she knew others faulted the fiery ex-alpha for leaving two of her own in enemy territory. Seemed Fox agreed and had stepped down. She was a bit unhappy to hear about the Sunspire but accepted that as well. She would have liked a rematch with that Sunspire wolf, Amekaze, but would stay away if that was what was commanded. Perhaps one day they could meet on neutral ground. Danica held no grudge but the fight had been a good one. To test her skills again against such an opponent would be a fun challenge.

Scimitar's rise to Beta was hardly surprising, but again hot jealousy filled Danica. Struggling to keep her face composed as the disappointment filled her, she looked down at her paws. Did she want the rank? No. Did she see it, though, as confirmation that there was indeed a relationship between the two of them? Yes, that she did. Even her nomination as counselor did little to cheer her. She did give Bazi a small smile of acknowledgement, expression carefully veiled as emotions whirled inside. She had no one else to propose or she might have. She didn't know if she could bear playing second fiddle to Bazi and Scimitar currently.

One thing was for sure... now that things had been sorted, something had to give. If she didn't at least tell Bazi what was going on she was going to explode. And if she was asked to leave, so be it. It had happened before; it would happen again.

Tuwawi had gathered with the rest after ushering her children back into the burrow, recently returned from her adventures in the North. She sat by Njal, sphinx-like and statuesque - a small candle adjacent a carving of granite. Bazi had been scarce the past few days, and even though she had visited Tuwawi the previous evening, the mother awaited her oncoming announcements with anticipation. Her sooty tail wrapped around tawny paws, her attention on the white wolf at the helm.

Their alpha began slowly... reciting what had happened with Fox with scarce details to illuminate exactly what had gone down between the two. The red girl was alive... somewhere in the wilds... that was for certain. Had she really so easily come to terms with how her actions had affected the pack? It didn't seem in the fiery wolf's nature to so easily admit wrongdoing. It didn't matter now, though... thought Fox had been a good warrior, she had been a poor leader, and only in retrospect could this be known.

Tuwawi still had mixed thoughts over the whole ordeal with Ferdie and Jace, though she would heed the truce created. Sunspire was off limits - but would would be the first to deign and cross the line? It was only a matter of time... could relations between the two packs heal before then? A vermilion ear twitched as Tuwawi reflected on these matters.

And then, Bazi made the order - Scimitar was to take the Beta position with two counselors to help manage the crew. Neither Njal nor Tuwawi were among the names nominated. Perhaps Bazi had good intentions when she stated the Sveijarn parents would be preoccupied with the children, but Tuwawi couldn't help but be a bit... hurt by the suggestion that she and her husband were unfit to counsel the pack because they were parents. They had been here the longest - heck, Njal had been apart of Swiftucurrent at the beginning. It was not uncommon for alphas, themselves, to start a family... did that mean an alpha with children could not lead? Her jaw subtly clenched. And what of Scimitar? He was a strong wolf, but hasty and hardly wise - eager to use tooth and nail to solve problems.

Whatever wavering sentiments were left about staying in Swiftcurrrent instantly dissipated, and the feeling of grief turned into a fiery ambition. Bazi's words had ensured they would have no hand in Swiftcurrent's decision making. Everything was decided. "Njal and I intend to leave the creek," Tuwawi suddenly announced as she rose to her paws, tone even but forthright. Silvery gaze fell upon her packmates one by one - lingering briefly on the weakly smiling Danica. Her eyes shifted to her husband at her side, "We seek to travel North... and raise our children further from Sunspire." There were other consideration - but those were far more personal, and less suitable for such a meeting.

They had departed from their slumbering children together, moving to intercept the wolves that would gather at the rendezvous point; he cast a fleeting look back at the burrow as the distance grew, but knew that the children were safe for the time being. There were other pressing matters to attend to. Upon arriving, Njal stood quietly next to his wife - listening to Bazi recount in the barest manner possible the events that led to Fox's departure from the creek; he had meant to tell Tuwawi more details, but she had been absent in her quest to the north. Their time spent together after her return was solemn, spent tending to their children and resting for this exact moment. Bazi showed very little remorse for sending their leader away, which actually raised Njal's spirits - the two women had been friends, good friends, and yet Bazi managed to do what was right for the creek without guilt. She was stronger than he thought.

"That makes me your Alpha by default. I am appointing Scimitar as my Beta, effective immediately - he has served the pack well, and led you all in a successful hunt." As Bazi outlined this change, the warden cast a careful glance towards the male mentioned. They had worked together various times, but Njal did not know him very well. If Bazi trusted him then that was enough. He seemed like a strong choice. She went on to speak of further changes, which piqued his interest, for she spoke the names of the two oldest members of the pack: himself, and his wife. "Since Njal and Tuwawi have their paws full with four children, I would also like to appoint two counselors from the lower tiers to help govern the pack.." He stopped listening at this point. It wasn't a sense of ambition or irritation that prompted this, but the subtle change in Tuwawi next to him; Njal could pick up on it easily, and knew the statement Bazi had made did not sit well with the fire-born woman.

He was moving past the words though, missing their implication as he often did, and opened his mouth to name some wolves for the counselor positions. "Dani-" the silver beast started to say, to second the choice and throw his support behind one of the few wolves he knew among those gathered. But his voice was swiftly overtaken by the sound of Tuwawi. "Njal and I intend to leave the creek," she stated plainly, but with enough force that it seemed decided. In that moment Njal realized that.. Yes, they had decided this. There was no going back. But he felt a sliver of guilt strike at his own heart as his gaze shifted back to their leader - it wasn't Bazi's fault that they wanted out.

"We seek to travel North... and raise our children further from Sunspire." Tuwawi finished, and at this moment Njal stepped forward to stand beside her. They were united in this, as they were united in everything. Njal watched Bazi for her reaction and ignored everyone else - searching her expression for acceptance, even perhaps excitement for the budding family; however, he was swift to assume that anger would take its place. If Bazi was anything like Fox, the pair had just resigned themselves from their roles in the pack and would be swiftly chased out. The warden was thus made quite tense. Thoughts of their children rose to the forefront of his mind and a sudden eagerness to be with them made Njal wish to turn tail.

So many things happened while I was on vacation! Phew!

Kaskara had done her utmost to help Bazi and Scimitar find their missing leader, the woman named Fox she had never met. It was her sworn duty to assist Bazi in anything she required since the day she had sworn her allegiance to the white dove and was accepted into the pack. As far as she was concerned, though she would never say it aloud, she would look to Bazi before she looked to Fox for instruction.

It didn't seem that choosing would be necessary, however, as Bazi explained to the group gathered that Fox was no longer their alpha. She quickly stepped into the role, assigned Scimitar the rank of Beta, and moved onto nominating two others as counselors. Kaskara accepted these swift changes with little reaction aside from pride at her brother's ascension into leadership. She did not know Fox, or Danica, or Njal, or Tuwawi for that matter, so the drama that seemed to be unfolding from the three wolves still present wasn't something that bothered her.

Kas did, however, watch Njal's reaction to his mate's words. His movements spoke of flight, and she wondered who was watching their children. Would Bazi be so quick to anger at their announcement? The white dove didn't seem the type, though it was true Kas didn't know her new alpha that well yet. If Scimitar trusted and respected her, so did Kas. But she hoped that there were no more confrontations today, since their pack was already dwindling with Fox's departure, and now this announcement of not only two healthy adults leaving, but their pups as well.

This was the first official meeting since Fox's departure. Which meant it would be the first meeting of the Creek with Bazi as their Alpha. While many held doubts when the white female rose to power, Galileo continued to trust her leading skills would be as impeccable as her coat. While he waited for her to speak, the freckled male picked casually at the fur on his chest.

Then as the new Alphess voice rose above the murmurs, he turned his head and focused his attention on her. She seemed even smaller than usual with Scimtar guarding her back. Though truth be told, they made a good couple and according to Bazi's words, a lead team. The male was appointed Beta, and Galileo didn't hesitate to dedicate a smile to him. He knew the man was caplable of leading he had proved so on the hunt.

The explanation she gave of Fox's dissapereance didn't earn any reaction from the elder, he didn't really want to hear her reasons. She had left and that was that. He didn't hold any grudges for the fiery femme but he was utterly dissapointed at her lack of responsability when Leaf and Magpie were captured. Still there was nothing else to say about Fox, just like the meeting, the Creek had already moved on.

Galileo's ears pricked as he heard his name exit the new ruler's mouth. He had not expected for her to make any reference to him so what she proposed caught him completely off guard. He smiled warmly at her and dipped his head graciously as a thank you. He would be honored to serve the pack and the girl who had brought him there in the first place. His amber eyes searched the blonde girl who was also named, and though he stared at her for a while she was far to focused on something else to notice he wanted to congratulate her.

Though some weren't as cheerful with the news. Tuwawi, the mother of the Creek's pups spoke bluntly, announcing she and her mate, Njal were already planning to leave, of course taking the young creatures with them. Galileo's heart dropped when he heard the determination in her voice, he would've loved to see the puppies grow on the creek.

Finally they were going to get some answers. Shadow knew that Bazi was dealing with a lot but that didn't make the wait any easier, it was as if everything came to a stop and everyone in the creek waited for some kind of guidance.

Scimitar's promotion to Beta was hardly surprising to the silver wolf, in time he would prove to be a good leader. When Bazi nominated Galileo and Danica as counselors, disappointment pricked at his pelt but he ignored it. Instead after carefully masking the tornado of emotions going on inside, he smiled at the golden wolf though it was filled with tension. And after a moment it was gone, replaced by an expressionless look as he continued staring at Bazi and Scimitar.

He did not voice his nomination for wolves for the counselor positions simply because his mind was in a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions and if he did speak, the words would not make sense at all and also because he did not want to speak at all. For fear that if he did, it was to say he would like to leave but he actually doesn't want to but in the spur of the moment he would have said something that he didn't mean and would regret.

"Njal and I intend to leave the creek," said Tuwawi, rising to her paws, "We seek to travel North... and raise our children further from Sunspire." Shadow watched as Njal went to stand beside her, perhaps it was best for them to leave after all things were still unsteady with The Sunspire thus endangering the children. Even though he had grown close to Njal and Tuwawi's puppies and would hate to see them go, maybe it was for the best.

Again he did not speak, instead offered them a small smile even though they probably couldn't see it. His other packmates would be heartbroken to see the pups go but if that was their final decision, he would respect that. Though it would be hard for the pups to move, they were still young after all.

The pack had assembled -- Bazi's shoulder brushed his every so often and as they filtered in, he allowed a small smile to press to his tainted lips, offering a nod. A few caught his full attention.. Kaskara, primarily, and his bright eyes swept over her wearily.

Bazi spoke then, bringing forward the announcement. He was unsure of how he felt at the moment about the opportunity -- only days before he had longed to leave the Creek behind and stake claim once more on Neverwinter Forest.. But reality sunk in, and as Bazi had crumbled before him, he knew he wouldn't leave her. He didn't think he could even if he had even wanted to. Somewhere along the line, he had become hers.

His eyes fell upon Njal at the announcement, concerned to what the silver male would think of this news. He had previously led as Beta, but had stepped down for a time for his newborn pups. Who was to say he did not want to rise once more to his previous position?

It was then the fiery mother stepped forward, making her announcement. There were no congratulations, or even questions about what any of this truly meant. Rather than even give Bazi or him a chance, they had decided they were simply leaving. "Where will you go?" His voice was solemn as he spoke, his eyes drifting between the two as he withheld a small sigh. The announcement was of no surprise, and yet now... With the bitterness Tuwawi had seemed to harbor from the moment he had met her, he did not find himself disappointed at their departure. "And how will you move the pups?" They were young yet.. And while they could travel now, it would surely be a hardship on the family.

For two wolves who were presumably attempting to give their children a better future, they were certainly taking a risk.

Star sat and noticed the wolves around her. Unfortunately she knew few of them. She listened to Bazi, and wondered what had happened to Fox. She hoped Bazi would be a great alpha for the Creek. Star hadn't seen Fox since their talk after they met. Since she knew very few wolves she notiminated nobody. She glanced at Tuwawi as she spoke up. She didn't know them so she wasn't in shock but she wondered the same as Schmitar about the pup's survival. She guessed it might be unexpected to some wolves who knew them well but she said nothing.

sorry it's so sad and short. I don't know what to say.

There are a silly number of holes in this, but I'll patch them in during the next round because I'm posting under the wire this time around.
The awaited meeting commenced, and his vantage position on the edge of the gathered pack afforded him a nearly unrestricted opportunity to observe.

It was true that Fox had admitted a portion of her mistake, even to him, and yet he didn't believe for a second that she had simply given over to Bazi and accepted her supreme guilt so easily. That was one of the unanswered questions (or in this case, it wasn't at all answered to his satisfaction) that hung in the forefront of his mind.

Beyond that, Bazi's claim to leadership by default was terribly weak at best, although he supposed it would appeal to those few among them who would actually miss Fox. The plush white female couldn't have been expected to accept the role assuredly, partially due to her age and the inexperience that went along with it, and partially due to the fact that Razo imagined it had been difficult for her to do what needed to be done. She'd already proven herself worthy in that respect, however, by default.

The rest of what came to light—nominating counsellors, Scimitar's rapid ascension and the imminent departure of the entire Sveijarn family—these were all important aspects for the pack to deal with, and to be sure, Razo scrutinised these actively, but he offered nothing except a sharp eye and a firm nod to Bazi. She was well on her way to becoming the leader the pack so deserved, whether she felt it or not.

Second round ends Monday 11th, but it would be great if we could all post again before that. :)

No-one spoke up for or against her decisions, nor did they contest her claim to top spot - and who else was there? Bazi had served as the pack's Beta for longer than most of these wolves had lived at the Creek, save for Tuwawi and Njal, and the latter had already stepped down from leadership once to care for his children. It wasn't out of spite or mistrust that she exclude the mountain and his fire from her nominees now, but the foreboding sense that something was about to burst.

And it did.

Njal started to say Danica's name when Tuwawi interrupted. "Njal and I intend to leave the creek." Whatever she said after that barely registered - Bazi only heard static. She stared vacantly at the two wolves, as if the announcement was still in a queue of inputs to be processed and measured. For a few glorious seconds, she felt light.

Slowly, the repercussions began to rise around her, like flecks of hot ash from a distant firestorm. She would lose Tuwawi and Njal. She would lose the pups - Swiftcurrent's very first brood, born and raised to love the land and its inhabitants. The tender roots that those children represented would be transplanted elsewhere, and and Swiftcurrent Creek would become naught but a fondly remembered starting point. Somewhere beyond the noise and lights of this future under construction, Bazi heard Scimitar's deep voice.

"Where will you go? And how will you move the pups?"

It was either a happy coincidence, or he had somehow sensed her need. She sat stock-still, struggling hard to re-focus her vision on Tuwawi and not the hole she would soon leave in the pack's hierarchy and Bazi's heart.

The expressions on the faces on those beside him were enough. While Galileo respected the couple and was sure they were very capable of mantaining their small family unit intact, he would've liked to hear the fundaments for their decision. He did not wish to interfere, he didn't think he could anyways, he would just like to know why they had chosen to leave.

Scimitar was quick to voice the questions, probably all of the members of the creek were asking themselves. Where and How?
The amber eyes of the freckled male fell upon the father of the pups. He stood firm, but so did the older wolf's gaze. He would've liked for Tuwawi to take back her words and decide to keep their family tied to the creek. But Galileo was the least appropiate to give parental advice. After all he had walked away on his mate and infant son..

They were leaving. Shadow's gaze swept over his packmates and finally landed on the couple. He respected their decision to leave and was sure that they were capable of keeping their family together but he would've liked to hear why they had chosen to leave the Creek. The pups would never grow up on the Creek, and would only remember it as their birth place and starting point.

Scimitar was quick to ask the questions which probably all the members of the Creek were asking, where would they go and how?

His platinum gaze turned to their new Alphess, who was sitting as still as a rock, it would be hard for her to see them go, after all they probably knew each other well. The silver prince would have liked for Tuwawi and Njal to change their mind and decide to raise their children at Swiftcurrent Creek but he knew that that was probably not going to happen.

If I'm messing up a post order, sorry! I just felt like Njal would be speaking up sooner rather than later.

There was a tangible strangeness to the meeting now - as each wolf fell in to silence, Njal thought he felt tension in the air. Perhaps it was his own nerves, his own apprehension. Tuwawi stood firm beside him, unafraid to voice their plans. The delta was in awe of her spine but also... A little annoyed. He would have liked to discuss this in private with Bazi before so openly shunning her; however, what was done could not be undone. Njal looked at their new leader (temporary as it might be at this point) and saw an empty expression upon her face. She said nothing and simply watched them, glassy-eyed, until another voice rose up. Scimitar, the new beta, and apparently the voice of the young leader.

"Where will you go? And how will you move the pups?"

The warden passed a glance across Tuwawi's face as he swept his golden eyes upon the agouti male. "While I was hunting for Fox I saw some distant mountains in the northeast. That is where Tuwawi has been exploring the past few days," He turned his attention back to Bazi now, hoping something he said would spark life within her, but assumed she was still in shock. "We thought to stay long enough for our children to be able to make the trip without aid, but now..." Now there was no reason for the creek wolves to assist them.

The bond had begun to sever.

"I was hoping for help from our friends -- our family here." Njal's expression warmed at this statement, and he watched Bazi still. She was family, they all were in some regard but none as connected to them as the pale girl. He would not beg her for assistance yet - but he did plead softly with his tone until silence once again dominated.

No one seemed interested in nominating pack-mates for the positions of council members, it seemed. Instead, all attention was focused on an adult pair, who'd suddenly declared their desire to move on from the pack. Paarthurnax was naturally curious to know why, especially considering there were pups involved. The idea of uprooting youngsters and taking them away from their home seemed... sad. To take them away from all that they knew, those who had come to love them. Her thoughts raged, but she reigned in her emotions; Paar did not know these wolves, and thus their decisions were not her business.

Her silence continued. But what surprised the crimson beauty was that Bazi did not respond with words. Paar blinked her way, concerned, but found her simply gawking at the scarlet-tipped female of the duo who intended to depart, and exhaled softly in a low whine that was barely audible.

Sorry i wasn't in the first round guys.

Kieran heard everything while he sat and listened, not surprised the the parent wolves would be going off elsewhere, he thought of offering his aid. They did not know him, no one did and he liked it that way, no one asked anything of him he couldn't offer. He did not care at the moment how they ran the pack either, all still being to new to him to say much. He stood up though and looked at the frost male with green eyes.

"Scon are assumin' yer are njal? scon are kieran o'malley an' if it pleases yer an' so'tiz gran' so wi' our leader bazi oi wud gladly 'elp yer move yisser laddies, scon are naw stranger ter laddies" He didn't know if they would understand his brogue, but he would try and get his point across if he could. He tilted burgundy ears and waited, as he looked around the area.

Even with Tuwawi's recent absence, her blatant announcement took Danica completely by surprise. She kept her reaction veiled but was unable to stop the initial shock from reaching her features. Leaving and taking the pups? A few weeks ago she would have heard this with apathy, maybe even some congratulations to the couple. And while she did still feel some respect at their initiative to want to start a pack of their own, she had grown used to their presence, especially with her recent habit of denning nearby. She would miss the family. Njal was also one of the wolves she had met first here. To her, he belonged in the creek. It would be different without him.

Bazi looked floored by this, understandably so. Scimtar was quick to ask the question that was now forming in Danica's mind... two parents, four very small pups. The response to this question was not what Danica expected and she looked at Njal, genuinely surprised. He was leaving, taking the Creek's future with him, and he wanted their help in the move? She didn't mind the plea but she didn't think that even she would make such a request of any pack. Here, I'm essentially ripping out your hearts and stealing them away from you, would you help me to carry them to their new location? She truly liked Njal, though, and was really excited for them in this new step in their futures, so if she was asked, she would help. But she would not blame Bazi one bit for flat out refusing the request should she decide to.

One wolf whom Danica did not know did openly offer his services. She eyed him for a second, his accent strange and decidedly hard to decipher, before taking a few steps in order to situate herself closer to Galileo. Since no one had protested their appointment (and Njal had even begun to endorse her, a gesture that gave her even more warm feelings towards the father and former Beta), it seemed they were associates now.

Star glanced back and forth between the wolves. Bazi seemed in a state of shock. Njal answered that they had been exploring in the mountains. He also said he been hoping for help from some of these wolves. Star wondered if any would willingly come along. A wolf she could barely understand offered his help. Star hoped the pack wouldn't lose many members. She still thought it might be difficult to move the pups, especially through muountains.

Whatever respect Scimitar had held for the silver male had not only unraveled, it had crumpled in to nothing. He stood beside his red-furred mate, who not only had basically shunned Bazi on her first meeting to gather the Creek wolves and attempt to rebuild, they also now requested aide in moving their family. Tuwawi claimed she wanted nothing to do with The Sunspire -- yet during the previous meeting when discussing what to do with them, she had also insisted they were all fools for even discussing the dangers of the mountain that loomed over them now.

He cast a sideways glance to the ivory female at his side, waiting for her final decision. he doubted she would refuse to help them -- even he wouldn't.. not for Njal or Tuwawi, but for the pups. Dipping his muzzle down to press his nose to her cheek, he awaited her decision, -- as did all of the creek, who now waited in silence. Tuwawi included, who didn't seem put off from her abrupt and condescending announcement.

The word 'family' left a bitter taste in his mouth -- after all, if they had been friends and family, they wouldn't have decided to simply leave them all behind because Ferdie was an idiot.

Can we pretend this was posted yesterday? I'm an idjit. :3

Kaskara kept to herself, quietly observing the interactions between the wolves she did not know well. Scimitar was the most outspoken, even more than Bazi, and she wondered what it was like for him to now be the Beta of a pack. He had a right to speak now, a right to question the validity of what Tuwawi and Njal were about to do.

The chocolate furred wolf wasn't going to speak. She watched, however, as Bazi looked toward the female half of the mated pair and seemed to wilt before her. What was the relationship there? Whatever it was, the bond was strong. Kaskara let out a soft whine, noticing how pained Bazi looked at that moment. How could Tuwawi rip the pack apart like this? Kaskara didn't presume to know anything about the past, but she did know that Bazi was in pain, and the pack would lose four of its precious pups when the pair left.

Sorry for the late reply. :) Final posts - unless @Njal sneaks in with some extra conversation and you want to stick around for it, otherwise feel free to have your character leave.

Kieran piped up and a soft whine escaped Paarthurnax, but apart from that, no-one responded to Njal's request - the pack waited with bated breath for Bazi to say something. What could she say? Voicing her gut reaction was out of the question - it was pure vitriol, of entirely selfish birth and a potential death sentence for the couple's pups. Leave now, don't come back, you treacherous, selfish deserters!

But Bazi loved those pups. Feisty little Maera and Jökull with her attitude, and those precious little boys. The very idea of sending them into the world with less than two guardians apiece hurt her heart.

On the other hand, letting them go would mean the founding of a rival pack - as Fox had done with the Sunspire. At least she had been in control of that situation; was Bazi simply to watch a strong, tight-knit pack with two experienced wolves at its helm set up camp on her doorstep? She met Njal's kind gaze, heard the warmth in his voice. It would be an easy thing to help them now, in the height of summer, but what would happen in the winter?

Finally, with Scimitar's nose pressed firmly against her cheek, the young alpha found her voice. It was stronger than she could have hoped for.

"We'll help you." If she didn't, those children would die - and their parents' hearts would surely stop beating in the same instance. "For those gorgeous pups of yours, on their first, very long journey." Here, her stark blue eyes moved between the two future leaders. Her meaning was clear, though it took every strength to keep grief from buckling her resolve. It edged her voice like frost. Those sweet little creatures would grow and so would the Sveijarn family - but it could not happen within range of the Bazi's pack, and her family. It did not matter how desperately she wanted Tuwawi to be within howling range at all times, because when the last leaf fell and the earth grew stingy with her gifts, the two packs would become rivals - like every other group of predators in the Teekon Wilds. "We'll work out the details of it later - Kieran, I'll remember that you volunteered. Thank you - everyone. You can go."

last post for Gali

Black-tipped ears swivelled to hear the male speak. At least he had a plan. Though the reason of their departure remained yet unknown Galileo listened intently to every word that the grey male had to say.

He finished with a last request, to be helped while moving out. While most might've seen the question as low blow, Galileo would be happy to do what he could to maintain the pup's wellbeing until they were no longer part of the creek. Another male spoke up with what seemed to be a promise to help and as soon as Bazi dismissed the gathered crowd the male padded closer to the white ruler.

"I'll help as well", he chimed while giving the female a gracious bow of his head.

One last short, terrible post for Danica ^^;

Bazi's words, while not unexpected, confirmed Danica's theory that Bazi was a much more decent being than she. Not that she didn't already know that. She didn't miss the double meaning behind her utterance, though, and the cold tone that enforced it. It was a sentiment that, while unfortunate, Danica held to wholeheartedly. If they allowed competition to settle right on their borders then they deserved the winter they would get as a result. She figured that Njal and Tuwawi would have already figured this out, however, after the mess with the Sunspire. She doubted they would risk the same thing happening, especially since they would be small in size to start out and have four defenseless pups to protect. Not that anyone in the Creek would be able to bring themselves to harm those pups.

She did not offer her help straight away. She did intend to, but she did not feel that now was the time. Instead she departed wordlessly, mind racing. They would recover, of course, but this meeting had been a lot to take in. She needed a few moments alone to process how she felt about all of this.

Last post for Shadow, I think. Unless something major happens.

The silver wanderer tilted his head slightly as he listened to Njal speak. Well, at least they had a plan, even though the reason of their departure still remained unknown, he still listened. Thoughts swirling around his head, so they were really going to leave the Creek, their pups never raised beside the Creek. And it was final.

Njal finished with a request, to help the Sveijarn family move to the north. It seemed a bit amusing for the outrider, moving out and asking for their help? But Shadow would help, for their children, he did not want them to die halfway on their journey to their new home. He waited patiently as another male, probably a newcomer he had not met spoke up, a promise to help.

The silver wanderer was a lone traveler for a long time and he knew that maybe he knew things that they did not. As soon as Bazi dismissed them, the silver wolf trotted up to her and murmured a soft "I'll help as well." It was a request.
