Despite her concerns over being away so long, and with little gained for it all during her treks, she still drug out her walk of shame back to the towering heights of Moonspear. On her winding road, she continued the search, adding in the extra cause of those misplaced by others as well.. but even for them where she wanted to have more hope, she found nothing of notable worth. Overall, she was.. just tired. Disappointed and sad, too.
The sun was setting, and the cloudy skies streaked in pinks turning to purples as she found the valleys below. Onward, she pressed, towards the thickets that bordered the mountain's base and already, signs of some near-familiar traffic made themselves known. It was the best she had to grasp at, after all, and frankly, came as a low thrum of relief--the closest thing she had to any semblance of home right now, despite the vast emptiness at her side.
Since she had surely missed plenty here, and having left on a tidal wave of grief and despair, she saw it fit to pause there, low on the slopes. Opalia saw herself loyal to them, of course, but respectful of the distance she had made still. And, this was not helped by the fact she brought them nothing to show for it--besides herself, tired, worn, and weaker than the wolf that had left. Not exactly fighting-fit as she most liked to be.. but, time had warranted a different creature of her, one cut lean and quick by the travels she faced alone.
After giving it several moments to compose herself, she finally tilted up her muzzle and somberly (almost apologetically, even) howled her return for the alphas @Hydra and @Dirge, as that was all she had to offer them, really. Nothing else, though not for lack of trying. When the note faded, silence answered first and she searched out a spot to rest a spell before delving any deeper. She knew their borders were kept up, though, so she wondered if she would be alone for much longer, but this was the most secured place to unwind she had the chance at in weeks.
