Lótë figured she'd pestered their leaders and the women who had once belonged to the ranks of Moonspear and Firefly Glen enough, for now anyways. She was sure there was still much to learn about Kukutux's origins and the traditions that had shaped their village into what it was today. The dove had decided to incorporate some of her own history with that of Moonglow's, since some of the customs seemed related, perhaps by painting the walls of the Spine's caverns as her people had. In time, she might illustrate the histories her packmates entrusted her with.

For now, she gathered her various bowls and platters of bone and wood -- natural containers used for storing the components the artisan used to craft her paints: berries, pitch, clays, brightly colored ochres, and a white powder made from soft chalk along the banks of the lake -- and transported them to one of the larger, well-lit caverns in the side of the mountain.

Here she set up shop, examining the walls with a keen eye before mixing her paint -- hoping to get a feel of where she should start painting the story of father sky and mother moon upon the rock walls.
