All Welcome

Under normal circumstances, Mohan would've been delighted at the cast of colors that surrounded him in all directions. In another life, perhaps, he would've marveled at the reflection coming from the surface of the creek he was padding parallel with. Perhaps he would've stopped to ponder over his future decisions instead of idly wandering like a rouge without a care about who or what was around him. However, this wasn't an alternative life, and nor did he believe in past lives anyhow. No, this was now and he couldn't go back to erase his past or shift his emotions enough to care.

The black brute slinked along the edges of the water, mindful of slippery leaves or spongy moss clinging to rocks. Despite no rainfall recently, the creek's splashing could create a chain of events that might lead to a sprained paw or tweaked shoulder. None of which he wished to happen.

Disheveled fur formed clumps across his hide, which would make sense as he hadn't properly groomed himself in quite a while. Olive green eyes glinted against shafts of sunlight pouring down from between branches. Without so much as a twitch of emotion, nothing about his current posture screamed for attention.

Where his paws were heading was anyone's guess.

Ines didn't stray far from the Isle anymore. It was empty, again, Ever having taken off, and Ines had thought to follow. But the land pulled her back; not just land, but her birthright. Her kingdom may have crumbled, but it had crumbled when Iseul had ruled. She and Matteo never had the chance. Iseul had given them a voice, but what was a voice, when she'd decided to let in unruly cowpoke -- and gave them crowns, no less! -- without asking for her say in the matter?

That had been their undoing, Colt and his lot. Good riddance they were gone. So sorry to whoever got them next.

Still, the Isle had been less lonely when she hadn't been the only one there. And since no one seemed to be naturally coming to Two Rivers, Ines ventured out. She tracked the river south, trying her paw at fishing along the way, until the colours in the water changed from grey to green to a vibrant orange -- only then, she looked up.

Huh. Pretty.

But it hardly tugged at her heart to stay here longer than she needed. This wasn't home, after all. Still, she made her way through, picking her way along the river, looking for shadows in the still water that would alert her to some poor fish swimming a little too close to surface for its own good.

Instead, she saw a bigger shadow, wolfish in nature. A disheveled brute who'd clearly had better days.

You're look like youve seen better days, came her estately greeting. Her nose crinkled at the corners -- seriously, was a little hygiene from the wolves of these corners too much to ask? At least he didn't smell like that gross orange thing Iseul had let into her land.

@Mohan forgive me, Ines is a brat xD

Sorry for the delayed response! But thank you for tagging me ^-^

Every so often, Mohan's face would lower to the rocky shoreline, his nose just grazing the smooth surfaces to catch a whiff of anything that would be deemed interesting. His slouching, ambling gate perhaps gave a sign of his age, but he was no elder. The thought crossed his mind briefly and a slight smirk tugged at the corner of his maw. His mother would scold him for such posture, but alas, that was neither here nor there.

His nostrils were filled with the scents of autumn and thus when a voice suddenly broke the silent ambiance, Mohan jerked to a halt, eyes immediately scanning until they landed on a figure not too far away: a lithe female, the shades of gray along her coat clearing standing out against the brighter hues. Were those brown eyes or did they just glow a bit brighter because of the sunlight? How did she sneak up on him?

The smirk transformed into something like a scowl of annoyance, though Mohan was reprimanding himself for letting his guard down. Just because this place seemed peaceful...

Was she talking about his appearance? The scowl remained in place as he rumbled a response, his throat feeling a bit dry from lack of use as his eyes scanned over her. "Have they been underfeeding you?" He responded, clearly stating her thinner figure. The "they" was insinuated. "Certainly you're not on your own." Very rarely did a loner or rouge look as well-kept as her.
