He is suited to a comfortable life; that much is clear from his paws which have grown sore after only a few days of work. Despite this he still searches for @Fiamma as Soto has ordered him to do. He is back in Verapaz now, and as far as Arslan is concerned there is nowhere else for him to go.

Aimless, he searches for the sight of a woman unknown to him. Maybe he could have caught a glance of her during his previous membership to the pack, but he is certain they have not formally met. Without knowing much about her he cannot be sure of her temperament or what sort of work he may be given. It bothers him.

luckily for arslan, he would find who he sought soon enough. fiamma was prowling the pass when she caught sight of the man, slim and proud, his pelt much like the ruddy colors of the desert. her nostrils flared; he smelled of verapaz, so not a trespasser.

she drew up a few paces from him and lifted her chin in question, smiling just a bit, her icy gaze glittering.

i do not know your face, the woman remarked. i am fiamma—e tu? 

his own gaze was captivating, nearly matching his pelt. he was young, and virile, and she immediately warmed to him, coming a few steps closer as she looked him over in appreciation.

A woman came, introducing herself as the one he searched for. She did not appear unfriendly, and so he could only hope that with silk-laden words and careful gestures he could soften her further; he aimed to make this as simple as possible for himself.

Arslan. He responded with a dip of his head, tone nearly purred. I returned to Verapaz recently, Soto told me to come to you and ask for work. His eyes fell over her, taking in each feature. He had never cared for women, but a single look can give someone a sense of validation - he knows this well, for such a thing often feeds his own bursting ego.

The pack was changing, growing. He was eager to reclaim his position within the Verapaz ranks.

i see, she replied, casting a critical eye over his form. i don't remember you. but no matter.

fiamma chuckled and turned toward the precious seedlings. the two traveled along in silence, unless the man broke it—and when they arrived, she cast her muzzle down upon the row of green sprouts.

you will patrol and protect these, she commanded. they are more important than you know. they are our. . .how would you say it. . .life blood.

her gaze grew hard, staring at arslan. take the utmost care, the woman said, her voice icy. i will be watching.

A patrol of some silly plants. Boring, but easy enough.

Offering only a brief smile, he then took off on his patrol.

He was born to conquer, to be pampered. He would make it so in Verapaz; labouring for the rest of his life sounded quite unpleasant.

He wondered if his brother was faring as well as he was.
