Pack Formation
Maybe @A'yan or @Forsythia?

He was unsure what exactly had convinced him to stay. Maybe the promise of fresh meals, or the gilded leader's kind smile; but whatever it may be, he planned to do his part.

Patrolling the borders he could now call his own, Sunchaser came to the sudden realisation that he was unsure if he had ever had borders to call his own. He struggled to remember his youngest years now, and anything after that felt like it had been endless wandering.

Raking his claws on the trunk of an old tree, he looked out upon the hills past the copse. He knew that when summer came the pack would move elsewhere, looking to trade with others along the way. Maybe part of him was nervous, but the adventure had potential to be good for him.

she had opted to stay here.

the potential of trading once more seemed too promising a thing to pass up. soon she would stretch her legs again, to go collect many things to start their trading off with.

pelts, bones, plants.

she too could see what places lived near them for closer trade outside of wandering seasons.

what kind of job did this boy busy himself with? guardianship?

a soft bark out to him, to capture his attention she hoped.

A soft bark hit fuzzy ears, Sunchaser turning his head.

A stranger, but one who had Waawaashkeshi's milky scent lingering. Another new recruit, he assumed. His greeting was a silent nod, awaiting her approach with his usual meek demeanour. It was hard to imagine he was much of guardian at all, looking so nervous - and he wasn't, but he had hoped to keep the poor pregnant woman off of her feet for a while.

Planting his feet on the ground once more, he briefly admired his work. Hopefully those clawmarks would drive away some unwelcome guests.
