Star liked it in Wapun Meadow. It was easy to just get away from all the voices in her head by taking a nap among the flowers and/or watching the clouds drift by and picking out images. So she had come here once more today, to ease her troubled mind, to relax for at least a few minutes. She sat among the flowers, which would soon be in bloom. She turned her midnight eyes upon the morning skys, watching small white clouds drift by. Small and white, like her. Except not marked with their own blood. She sighed and began to watch for any elephants or bears or turtles. Or wolves.

Nanuk was exhausted from his brief jaunt in the mountains, and the flowering meadow was a welcome rest from the rocky maze he had just exited. He woke at what seemed around noon, from were he had drifted to sleep just last night. The strange sounds of foxes had woken him a couple times, and he had even once woken to a strange spotted one a short distance from him in the night. Lucky for them, he did not eat foxes.

He sat, and looked out silently over the meadow. Strangely, one of the clouds from the sky above had sunk and settled in the center of the field. To his surprise, he realized that it was not a cloud, but a wolf. He chuffed in greeting, and made his way cautiously toward her, hoping that she wouldn't be a nasty loner.
