Burke walked through the darkness of the forest thinking about the words Kove said. The white king had offended him great deal, but he also made him think. The fellow dark brother warned him about his son that was ready to let himself known. Burke grew grim at the thought. He couldn't believe that there was anyone that looked like him. Plus the male was probably just Darius kid and not his. The fact that this pup was not keen on him, as Kove mentioned, made Burke predict that the youngster would talk about how unfair it was he left.

Yet, in the safety of having his own thoughts Burke couldn't help but wonder what would happen if the male was really his son. Kove seemed utterly convinced he was. What would he do then? An adult didn't need a father. He was more the father of Damien, Cicero and Potema. Or well, he wasn't sure if Potema saw him as her dad. While he thought of them, how would his own blood react to the fact that he was taking care of pups that weren't his own. Burke never had the time to take care of his own real son. Burke's mind was just clouded with thoughts. Maybe this fellow should show up soon so Burke could go on with his life. He wished he could get his own counsel.

Ohen was trotting through the forest with much on his mind as well. He still needed to find Bassilth, and Ohen feared that he may never come across her. Kelorth was here, and even though Ohen was happy that his pale brother was in the same pack as him, he couldn't help but feel a bit threatened by his older brother. Ohen had always felt a bit threatened by Kelorth, however he had no idea why. The ebony male came to a stop when he spotted movement up ahead.

As he came closer he realized it was Burke and Ohen approached the large male. "Hello Burke" he said and gave a bow to the higher ranking male. "How's your day been" Ohen asked and wondered if others were having a better time than he was.

Burke was startled from his thoughts when a scent invaded his nose and a voice pierced his ears. Burke casted his pale eyes to see his pack mate Ohen. A friendly smile tugged upon his face. "Hello Ohen," he greeted calmly. His docked tail once agains standing up. The large male inhaled a sharp tug on air. "Well, it is going so far. Still looking for your sister?" Burke didn't know as of now that Kelorth was the dark male's brother. The charcoal male sat down and curiously looked at him, the one who prayed to dragons.

Burke wondered what it was like to have a son. Would it be really as their said it would? "Anything you need counsel on? I am close to having my trade," he spoke proudly.

Ohen gave an airy laugh when Burke asked if he was still searching for Bassilth. "Looking for my sister, and I found my brother" he said and gave a sigh. "Well actually my brother found me" he said and was curious if the large male had any family. "Do you have any family in this area" he asked and sat down just as Burke did. When the older male asked if he needed any counsel, Ohen was going to shake his head no, but when Burke spoke of trades it changed the dark male's mind.

Ohen still did not know what trades to pursue here. Back in Dragon Valley he had several trades, all he enjoyed, but didn't love. "I use to be a hunter, warrior, and outrider for my old pack, but I want different trades now" he said and took a deep breath. "However I don't want to give up my old life just yet" he said and wondered if Burke could help him with his little problem.

Burke watched the male sit across from him and then nodded briefly. "Your brother? So your whole family scattered?," burke questioned. He wasn't sure if the male had told him what happened to his family. Burke couldn't remember if the male had or not. "Funny you asked that question," Burke returned and then cleared his throat. "A fellow Dark Brother came to me that he met my son. Apparently he is out for my blood," The masked male spoke, sounding almost amused by it. It was his way of brushing it off.

The large male then interestedly looked up. "Oh I can help you with that. I had the same thing. I was Warrior, gamekeeper and warden. But I didn't want to do exactly the same. When I joined black feather I chose to go for Counselor and Outrider. I wanted to keep Warrior so I could fight when needed. But then... I started teaching those young.. and I decided that Outrider is not something I want to be. I like to be here in the dark forest. I am already a counselor in my mind so I decided that I would go for Caretaker to complement that Counselor trade. I'm already there for people's mental questions so why not take on Caretaker too. I mean it seems I am the only one here that feels the need to take care of things," he laughed softly. "I can walk with you through the trades there are to see if you find any to your liking?"

He gave a sigh to Burke's question about his family. "I thought just me and my sister left Dragon Valley, but now that Kelorth is here I have no idea what happen to my family." It didn't even register to Ohen that he said Kelorth's name, or at the fact the Burke probably didn't even know his brother. When the large male spoke of having a son that basically wanted him dead Ohen didn't exactly know how to respond to that. "Are you ever going to meet him" the ebony male asked, assuming that Burke still had to meet this boy of his.

When Burke said he could help Ohen with his trade problem the dark male smiled and waited for the soon-to-be councilor to begin. At the end Ohen was a bit suprised. He never expected Burke to be a caretaker, but who was the dark male to judge the older fellow. "I want to be an Outrider, and a gamekeeper but im not sure about the other one" he said and decided that being a warrior just wasn't him. Ohen just didn't enjoy fights, and he was positive that there were enough warrior's in this pack already, that they wouldn't need him. When the large male offered to walk him through the trades, Ohen gave a nod of his head nod waited for the older male to speak again.

Burke's ears popped up. "Oh so the white male I met named Kelorth is your brother?," Burke blinked in surprise. Both brothers seemed good to converse with. The large calm male tugged up his lips into somewhat of a smile. It fell when the male asked he was going to meet him. "No? Why should I. He probably isn't even mine either," Burke spoke. "Plus it would be his death if he dare to disrespect me in my own home. I won't allow him to." Burke would like to see how stupid the brat of a boy would be to even think he could call Burke out and live to tell the tale.

The funny thing was, no one really expected him to be a caretaker. Not even Burke but when he looked back onto his life he had ben a caretaker all his life. Now being the teacher of those pups it was only natural to pursue it as a trade. "The way you tell stories about your dragons could make you a chronicler. I don't know if you like that, but the youngster would probably listen about mega lizards. A warden is always needed to protect the borders from outsiders. Or if you are interested in weather patterns, the earth, wildlife and plants you could become a naturalist. If your liking goes only to plants you might like being a healer like Meldresi."

When Burke said Kelorth's name, Ohen finally realized he spoke about his brother. "Yup... him, me and Bassilth are all from the same litter" he said said and looked down at the ground to move a rock with his paw. When the older male asked why he should even see his possible son, Ohen didn't even have to think about his answer. "Well... If I had a son I never knew about and had the chance to meet him I would. Who knows, he may turn out to be the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I wouldn't want to miss out on that oppertunity. If he isn't the best thing that has ever happened to me I'll just go back to me old life. What do you got to lose?" The ebony male didn't want Burke to miss the chance of being in his son's life, but it was up to the older fellow to see his son or not.

Ohen then thought about the trades Burke suggested and most didn't appeal to him. Bassilth was always the one to deal with nature and Ohen was never really into the whole herb thing. Warden could be a possible trade, but the dark male didn't want to constantly be dealing with annoying and cocky wolves. Chronicler definitely intrested him but Ohen wasn't sure if he would be allowed to teach the youngsters about a his religion. "I would enjoy being a chronicler, but would Meldresi really allow me to teach the young about a different religion other than her own." Ohen wasn't sure if Burke even knew the answer to that, but he would wait and find out.

Burke bobbed his head. "I'm sure your sister will be just as nicely mannered as you two," Burke spoke out what he thought of the two brothers. The large Gamma then bared his teeth a bit but not because he disapproved of the male jus because he disliked that this wolf was even coming to see him. "Oh I know he existed, sort of. I am surprised he survived. But like you say, maybe Kove wasn't right and he is respectful then I might hear him out. If not, this wolf is a dead one, my son or not," Burke spoke. The male could be loving but he also could be really strict and a bit of a brute if he disliked something.

Burke thought about that for a second. "You won't be really converting them. You will jus the informing them about what other religions are out there. But to be safe you might want to ask Meldresi for permission. Still, it can also be your other pack mates you can talk about. Or maybe other stories of wisdom you might know," the male suggested. When's stories didn't need to be religion based they could also be fantasy or any other type of topic.

Ohen smiled when the older male complimented him and his siblings. The ebony male's smile soon turned into a frown when Burke showed his teeth and spoke of how his son was a dead wolf. To Ohen it almost seemed like the older male didn't want a family. With a sigh he listened to how Burke suggested to ask Meldresi for permission to teach the youngsters about his religion. However when the Gamma said he could possibly teach other packmates, Ohen shook his head no. The ebony male had a feeling most wolves joined this pack to be a part of the brotherhood, and so many wouldn't be interested in his religion.

Ohen himself was starting to lose faith in his Gods. They were nowhere to be found, none of his prayers were being answered, and they wouldn't speak to him. So, the ebony male had decided to make the choice and try and put his faith in someone else. "What do you have to do to be part of the brotherhood" the dark male asked out of nowhere. "Morgana mentioned how we must kill someone to join, but is that it" he asked to make sure the dark wolfess's teachings were correct. Maybe joining the brotherhood is just what Ohen needs.

Burke realized that being a chronicler wasn't something that might fit the dark male. Burke would make it his mission to think about it. "Maybe you can be a counselor like me," He then offered. It would be good to have two counselors so they would have two perspectives. Burke then let the topic of his son slide. It was something that he should think about himself. Or better yet, not think about it. The large male looked curious when Ohen asked about the Brotherhood. So he had interest... That was point one. After that came the killing. He eyed at Ohen. "She should not have told you that actually," he pointed out calmly.

"When someone shows interest and kills a wolf then he or she might be recruited, yes. Now you know you need to kill. It becomes a mission. Even if you don't like it you can kill one time to become part of the brotherhood. If you don't know we as a brotherhood know that you kill because you aren't afraid to kill," Burke explained. But now they couldn't reverse it. Burke hoped that he made his emphasis clear that when you became part of the brotherhood there would be more killing other wolves than just once to gain entrance. "Have you ever killed a fellow wolf, Ohen?"

Ohen gave an airy laugh when Burke suggested he become a counselor. "I don't think I'm very good with giving advice" he said and shook his head no. Ohen didn't really see himself as a counselor, as he could barley give advice to himself. When the older male spoke of how Morgana shouldn't have told him that, Ohen wondered why. The ebony male listened carefully to Burke as he explained how you must kill a wolf to get into the brotherhood. When the older male asked if Ohen had ever killed a wolf, the dark male thought back when he was defending Dragon Valley from others.

"No, I have never killed a wolf" he said honestly and looked at the crimson pawprint Burke had. "How did you kill you your victim" Ohen asked remebering the story Morgana told on how she killed a wolf. Ohen wondered how he would kill his wolf, but quickly shook his head. The dark male was curious what it would be like to be in the Brotherhood, but at the same time he didn't want to upset the Old Gods. A sigh came from Ohen as he waited to hear Burke's story, that is if the old male even told his tale.

Burke eyed of the other young male, Burke actually thought otherwise. The dark male seemed wise enough and knowledgable. Maybe Ohen would even be fit for a heated discussion. But of that he wasn't sure. He didn't know the wolf that well after all. "So you are basically saying you think your opinion doesn't matter?," Burke returned, challenging him to see if he could coach a reaction from the male. That would prove enough if he wanted to say his opinion or not.

"There you have it. Have you ever thought about killing another?," Burke returned. It was true that there were several branches of the Brotherhood, like being a priest, a spy or an assassin. Burke was going more in the direction of a priest and spy. The spying priest he liked that. "She was stealing from our caches. I made sure she ended up on our food pile." Burke smirked, still liking the irony.

Ohen thought about Burke's question, about his opinion and honestly the dark male didn't know what to say. "I want to believe my opinion matters, but I feel like others will not think much of it" he said and shrugged his shoulders. The ebony didn't enjoy not having his opinion being valued, but at the same time he wasn't going to argue with people on why it should matter. Ohen was never really one to speak up in a crowd, as he didn't always have the confidence.

When Burke asked if he as ever thought about killing another wolf, Ohen sadly shook his head yes. He wanted to harm several wolves before, and would have had no problem killing them either. However the ebony male never really saw himself killing anyone, but that's not to say he wouldn't do it. When the older male told his story, Ohen scrunched his nose and laughed a but. "You story is much better than Morgana's" he said, as he didn't think it was right that the dark wolfess tricked someone into love.

Burke studied the other curiously. The answer the dark furred game to him was exactly what Burke was thinking of him. When might have an opinion but he would press on it to let other know what it was. That was opposite of what Burke did. He would make sure wolves knew what he thought about something. It also showed that the male lacked a bit of confidence but that could always be worked on. "Well, if it is up to me. I think you might make a good asset for the Brotherhood." His modesty could fool other wolves greatly. Ohen was a wolf that seemed to gain others' trust easily.

Burke grin turned wider when Ohen laughed a bit at his story. He nodded with pride. It also showed that Burke wouldn't kill because he wanted to kill. He would only make the kill if he had enough reason for it. This lady had been stealing, which was definitely very wrong in his point of view. "I only kill when there is a reason for it. Severe trespassing, stealing or attacking one of our members."

Ohen was suprised to hear Burke say that he would make a good asset to the brotherhood. The ebony male didn't see himself as anyone special, but instead just a nobody. He believed in another religion and still Burke could see him being helpful to the brotherhood. Ohen offered the older male a smile and gave a nod before listening to the reasons why Birke would kill. The dark male was glad not everyone in this pack was some crazy murder that went around killing everyone they met.

Ohen too would only ever harm someone if they were doing wrong, however he would usually try and solve the problem verbally first. The ebony male didn't enjoy harming others, but at the same time he loved the adrenaline rush. Ohen shook his head to agree with Burke on the whole reason to kill thing, while standing up. "Thanks for the talk Burke, but I better get back to work" he said with a smile. Ohen didn't want to seem rude and hurry away, however he figured it was time to get back to hunting and patrolling the boarders. The dark male gave one last bow, before turning and heading away into the dark forest.

Burke was glad to see that Ohen seemed like his compliment. The tank didn't say nice things very often but when he did he meant them with his whole heart. Maybe that is why his compliments meant even more when he said them to others. "You are welcome, Ohen. Of course. Work for the pack is most important." This only proved more than enough that Ohen was a hard working wolf that could work well in their small group of assassins, spies and priests. Burke watched the male go and went his own way after that. He should continue with his duties too.

Burke was becoming the caretaker and mentor of Meldresi's young and Cicero or Damien might need a lesson in fighting or spying. Burke would be happy to provide that for them. He was knowledgable enough for it.
