open for anyone~

maybe a @Swift can join yes? :D

Yet another warm day, but not so bad given that they were on a mountain. Not that Pasha particularly cared whether or not it was hot out anyway — he was far too busy smashing some of the plants that rested outside of the den. Gentle ferns put up with his abuse, but the smaller flowers were trodden down and wilting in his wake. It was simple play for him, but his imagination was running wild in spite of his near silent carrying on. To him, he was a giant smashing through villages, toppling mountains like they were nothing more than sand castles in a line.

Yes!

Swift was arranged in a classic sphinx pose. He watched his brother as Pasha trampled the plants. For the longest time, the smallest Frostfur thought nothing of it. But then, out of the blue, he became quite alarmed. His fur raised along his spine and in a flash he was bolting for his brother. With a growl he made the jump to get in between him and the next plant he was about to squash. It happened to be fennel, a plant that could provide pain relief, not that Swift knew this, or even knew why he had been compelled to bar his bigger brother from harming it.

Truth be told, Pasha had forgotten that Swift was even outside with him.  His brother was such a silent sort, at least when it came to the verbalness that had come to all of them.  There was perhaps something else about him as well, but in his young mind Pasha had no concepts to compare it to.  He certainly wasn't stupid by any means, just not as vocal.  So right as he got ready to make the biggest Godzilla leap ever on some poor senseless plant, Swift proved to be his namesake.  He was swift.

"Hey!" Pasha yelled out, having to stomp elsewhere to avoid smashing his brother in lieu of the plant.  He almost followed it up with a meanyhead comment, but also thought better of that too.  He didn't quite want mom or dad or whoever to come around and scold them, or tell them to haul their rears back inside.  "Why you do that huh?  You smasha plant yeah?"  His own little voice wavered in volume and somehow, the young Frostfur was torn between a pout and seeming interested that his brother was game for play; a slow wave of his tail followed behind him.

idk how to four year old in roleplay apparently.  i have no problem answering questions like them, however.

Pasha is Italian!? I read that in an Italian accent haha. It ok, I have no idea what I am doing either. LOL.

This thing, whatever it was, that would overtake Swift in these moments was unfathomable to him and mostly to those around him. It was, however, becoming more evident that something was different about him, but he did not see it for himself. It was akin to acting on instinct for him, he was compelled to do things he could not explain and which did not seem out of place. At least not yet, with time when his mind had developed enough, he may be able to grasp his differences. For now, he was often left as confused and unsure about his actions as the rest of his family.

His interception worked. His brother stopped, and spoke. Swift shook his head. He was not going to smash the plant. He finished burning a hole into his brother with his eyes and then bent to nip the plant at its stem. He gathered it in his mouth, and then sauntered over to a flat rock where he laid it out. He had done this before, with other plants, and just like before when he had finished his 'task' he forgot about it after. He reverted back to his former state. He glanced around, caught sight of his brother's waving tail and dropped into a play bow with a woof.

tbh i'm pretty sure that's a typo on my part haha. I'LL LEAVE IT IDC.

Pasha watched him curiously. Sure, Swift did some pretty weird stuff from time to time, but at the same time, Pasha really couldn't have classified it as weird. He had nothing to base it off of — this was just Swift being Swift. And all of it was forgotten (mostly) the moment that his brother dipped into a bow. It was all the enticement Pasha needed to start playing.

He sprung forward towards his lighter-haired sibling with a grin upon his face. Roughhousing was probably one of his more favorite activities as of late, and what not a better partner than his brother? He pounced at the earth at Swift's feet, bowing just as low to try and get his sibling to join in on the idea. His tail waved every bit as quick as he could make it go, and lightly snapped at the air between them as though to amp things up. C'mon, c'mon!

oh lol XD

It was on. The plant was forgotten as it dried in the sun (which it was, in fact, doing). His brother came at him, dropping into a bow of his own and snapping at the air to egg Swift on, who raised a paw and made to swat at Pasha's muzzle with a soft growl. Then he jumped forward with forelegs stretched out, slinging them about his brother's head as his teeth clamped gently but firmly around an ear. He yanked and tugged on it. Behind him, his little tail quickly paddled the air.

it's still cute though and sounds like something a babe might say!? idek. <_____>

Swift did not hesitate to strike out towards his brother, closing in on Pasha without a second consideration to their play. His swats were snapped after and when he more or less pounced on him, Pasha eagerly went to arms with a playful growl. The soft clamp of teeth on his ear was a weird sensation that he at first did not understand. It wasn't painful, but it wasn't exactly a positive feeling either. It was simply weird, and deserved a weird reaction. He pulled back from Swift for a moment — at least as far as he could without turning the whole thing into some tug-o-war game — and headbutted his fuzzy brother square in the chest, nipping roughly at his legs.

That'll teach him for trying to devour an ear.

I think so!

He had captured the ear for all but a few moments before his brother drew back, plucking his ear from Swift's nomming mouth. In the next moment, Pasha's fat head was butting him in the chest, and he tumbled backward. Normally, this would have perturbed the small Frostfur, but he was engaged in this game and merely yipped in surprise, kicking his legs out at Pasha followed up with nips. Rough nips, no less, but Swift tolerated them for now. He kept up his kicking and writhing about on his back for a bit before gathering his paws and diving for his brother's tail. His mouth closed on the tip, and he scooted around to tug on it as though it was a rope designed for that very thing.

For a while there, Pasha thought he was totally winning. He had Swift on his back, paddling at the air (and Pasha too) and trying to keep his brother off of him. Not likely. Pasha got so caught up in that moment that when Swift went for his tail, he was caught off-guard. That slimy little weasel, how dare he! Now instead of his ear being so warped tug-o-war device, it was his tail!

So the first logical thing that came to his mind? He shook his rump. He thought that maybe if he could get his snapping turtle of a sibling off of his other end, he might have had a chance to actually go after him or something. Not that his present state meant he couldn't, of course. It just seemed like the proper thing to do first. In the same stroke, he couldn't help but cast a look back to his sibling that some passerby would have understood as you're loving this, aren't you?

He was loving this. It was not often the smaller of the sons gained the upper hand on his larger, stronger, heavier siblings. They physically trumped him, even the stretch of their legs was beginning to outpace his, with their shoulders rising above his own. He was destined for a lean, medium build, to be classically swift in his appearance, but only if his clumsy paws sorted themselves out. Until they did, he would seldom live up to his name, although he had this time when he nabbed Pasha's tail before Pasha could do anything about.

With a playful growl he pushed his forelegs ahead of him to use as leverage and tugged backward, holding on through his brother's rump shakes. He would drag his brother backwards if he could.

Oh, this wasn't working. He was getting defeated by his ever so quiet sibling just because he had a hold on his tail. This was the point where frustration started to work into the mix and as a result, Pasha decided that if he was going to have a semi-permanent attachment, he was going to have to switch up tactics.

So he reared up on his hind paws for a moment, springing forward to his front paws as he tried to pull Swift along. If he was going to have a caboose then he decided he was gonna be the goddamn train. Only this Pasha-train had no real idea where he was going to try and go, and there was no telling whether or not his caboose of a brother was truly going to play along with this game.

Maybe he'd just take them all through some more precious flowers.

lmao Pasha train!

He held on as Pasha became a train, dragging him a long by sheer force, until his clumsy paws returned to him at the same moment his brother made another leap forward. Swift tripped over his own forelegs and he landed chin-first onto the ground, Pasha's tail pulling free from his teeth just before impact. For a moment he sat on his rump to paw at his tender chin, then he was back in the game. He shook his coat and darted for his sibling with jaws open, this time aiming for a hind leg.

It worked.

Holy crap, it worked! Stunned for just a moment, Pasha couldn't help but peer behind him just in time to see Swift preparing to give him chase. And the train was off, out from the station and chugging right along. Or as it were, Pasha took off away from the den as fast as his little paws would take him, bolting through the open expanse and tearing through the weeds and flowers with a childish squeal.

Guess he woke the wrong dog.

I have no idea if fennel and goldenrod grow in the same areas but I'm going with it lmao!

He chased his brother eagerly, but unfortunately, his brother took them straight through the greenery and soon Swift's attention was captured again. His shoulder smacked a goldenrod as he rushed past, and he stopped dead in his tracks. Instantly, the game and his brother was forgotten as he turned to the plant. He nosed around it, and then, as he was accustomed to doing, he bent down to where the stalk met the ground and nipped it clean off. Gently picking it up, he carried it back to the same rock on which he laid the fennel and placed the goldenrod beside it.

With that task done, he slid to his belly and draped his head across his paws. It was time to nap. He had forgot all about Pasha.

I'll have dis archived.

Pasha barrelled down a small grade away from the den, convinced that his brother was close at hand. And he went on and on, for what seemed like an eternity. Almost to the point where he presumed his mother had put up some invisible barrier to stop them from venturing too far. That point where she swore if any of them went past it without someone, they'd get more than just a-paddlin'.

Well, when he spun around, there wasn't anything behind him. No Swift stalking through the grasses that were already taller than them both. No Swift pouncing at his hide to give him some sort of payback. Nada. Zip. Nothing light and dark-haired and fluffy snarling adorably after him. Pasha made a face, though it was hard to say what that face was. Could've been disappointment. Could've been doubt. It could have even been a pout.

But no one was there to witness it.

Waiting just a few more moments (read: seconds, because fuck that patience trait at the moment), he started back for the den. Slow and careful at that. By the time he had come back around to where he had left his brother sitting in the dust, Swift was already playing the lights out card. With a sigh of defeat, Pasha gave in to the fact that he was a little bit wore out too and moved to settle in near his brother — not too close, could still be a trap — and opted to space out for a bit.

What a terrible poker game this was.

Before he knew it, he was out like a light too.
