Emberwood There is no distraction to mask what is real

He worried constantly about Zephyr, silently fretting over whether or not her wounds would heal. He also worried that she might leave. He had no real reason to think that she would, but it just seemed too good to be true that she was here and alive after he spent so much time thinking she was dead. He only wished that the rest of his family was here and alive as well.  

Kavik had tried to give her any space she wanted while she settled in but when he could no longer stay away, He searched her out to check on her. Today, he made it most of the morning before finding her fresh scent trail and following it through the trees. He was unsure how long he tracked his daughter, too lost in the task to really care. But after a while, the trail become so fresh that he knew she was close by. He let out a low howl, a call for her. He paused and waited for her to respond, hoping she wouldn't ignore his summons. His worries aside, he, more than anything, just wanted to make sure she was still okay and that she got her wounds tended to properly.
