Firefly Glen [PHE] when you and sleep escape me

she looked around for someone who seemed like a maker.

petal had decided her seal bones must come with her everywhere. although she had just as quickly learned it was clumsy to carry them around in her mouth like some kind of pelican. which meant she needed some other way to bring them with her no matter where she walked.

near the healing camp she lingered. admittedly intrigued but a bit too nervous to just waltz in. maybe if she had foxglove or dahlia with her but… she could do this. she had to.

so why did her legs refuse to move? why did she stare into that camp? suddenly too nervous, she quickly turned around and began the walk back to kvarsheim’s camp.

ibrahim was still far too young to hunt, apparently. he was allowed only to observe, which he did very little of. watching was boring. and he definitely knew how to hunt.

so the golden boy found a target to prove himself. stubby legs are surprisingly quick and it doesn't take long before ibrahim is reaching for the back ankles of petal.

something — someone — was at her ankle suddenly. her heart suddenly lurched up into her throat as if it wished to escape the attacker.

it was unfortunate for everyone's ears that petal's next reaction was to scream. the kind she had learned from Dusty Rose, the kind meant to bring her family to her.

she wondered if her embarrassment would kill her first before the ogre.
