The king walked through the forest, finding the herd. She laid in the shadows and watched them so. Of course, the High Elk was not among their presence, for he hid himself in the layers of heavenly dust. It was a rare occurance could the Deorwines see he, with a thousand horns. However his apostles, were still as healthy as ever. She noted the doe's, and the stages..
And their own King. He was large, nearly as large as stories say of the High Elk. Célnes clearly saw that man was the leader, a king among kinds. Truly, a holy being.

Sacnite had been eating better than she had been...for perhaps a year. Maybe more.
The Derowines were nice, but not simple. They were on the outside, yes, but she knew that there was more to them - Cenric said as much.
She had moved through the members of Kingslend, noting each one and their names.
They were all just rather nice. And she'd seen before what lay beneath...but they seemed better put together than Shadewood Keep.
But tody, her soft form stumbled upon their so-called king - Sacnite didn't know why she didn't call herself Queen yet, but was sure to find out - and approached with a soft chuff. Célnes seemed to be in quiet reflection as of now and the frail girl didn't want to startle her.

She had been aware her brother brought a few wolves in, but the elken woman never officially met them. At first was pleased by the brown wolf that entered in her eyesight, but took note to the white colors she held. A cursed being, but held the holy colors they were so pleased with. She wondered how the rest would feel- would be scorned?
"Hello there miss," but Célnes greeted with a warm smile, "I am Célnes, the King alongside Cenric, who are you?"

The ethereal seeming woman drew her attention to Sacnite.
The way she held herself, her features.
Fairy.
She couldn't help but return her smile with the same warmth that reached her eyes.
For all her wasting away, she was getting better now.
"Sacnite," she replied like her name was just a sigh on the wind.
Her head tilted slightly, innocence still held in her features despite her poor life.
"How are you doing today?" She asked shyly. Certainly not who she used to be, but she had...no real idea who these people where.

"It is a blessed day, as the High Elk has given us a home." She was particulary satisfied with this abundant forest. There was occasional fruit to be found, and the herd that lingered. Many of the Deorwine's watched them carefully, studying their movements and so. Even she found herself wandering toward them.
"Are you enjoying your stay?" Célnes then asked Sacnite.

Sacnite slowly settled on her haunches.
Like someone meeting their royal friend.
She supposed it may be like that.
"It is a very nice place to be," she complimented. she didn't think she'd return to Tuktu. But here she was, settling here again.
"I haven't met everyone yet, but most seem happy here too."
She gazed around a feeling of being watched creepy up her legs and back, making her curl her tail to her paws and look back to Célnes for comfort and security.
She were just a doe after all.
"Why here though?" She didn't want to ask too much. Many came from bad places, and Sacnite didn't particularly like relishing on her past as of yet. She did note the bare patches of skin littering her right side. Perhaps she were mauled by some savage.

She only smiled at Sacnite. The other seemed like a fragile being, especially the injuries she held. Doe-like, yet, they still held white-tones within a beautiful brown. Célnes could only imagine the discrimination she may soon face, especially since the other was not Deorwine origin, and did not pray to their God
"Because the High Elk is here, he with a thousand horns, guided us to this blessed land." Sometimes she didn't realize how religious the woman really is, despite having changes be. Nontheless, she is, but a Deorwine.

Oh.
Cenric spoke of the Elk and how they were blessed. They did have pretty big horns if she remembered correctly.
But her ears cupped to catch every word from Celnes, every hint of this wonderous creature she spoke of.
"He sounds beautiful."
A true sight to behold. Perhaps she would be ok here.
"Do you search for him? Or do you wait for him to show himself to you?"
He sounded mythical from the way she portrayed the High Elk, so Sacnite assumed as much really.
Plus, she needed to know what their goal was here. Just to be a family? Or something more?

"He is beautiful. We can only admire his Apostles, the Antlered Elks while we pray for him. He only shows himself if he desires to.. He gives us land to live on, and in return do we pray and protect his own people." She was more then willing to explain their religion, especially if it meant a possible reforming. While Célnes didn't count on it, if the woman chose to follow the Deorwine way, the others would be more accepting of her so.
"That is the Déorwine way. Any and all, are welcomed with enough prayer." As whismicle and pleasing as it was- she knew it was not true. They discriminate against certain coats, and even then, she could only accept so many. White wolves were.. An omen she too, was wary over. But perhaps if accepted by the High Elk, they may have no choice but to let whoever in.

Huh. Sounded like a lot of work.
But weren't all religions?
She'd never really thought she'd bother with them - but then again she'd never been exposed to an overwhelming amount of followers.
Sacnite just nodded in quiet awe of the Deorwines.
But Celnes didn't sound crazy in her ideas. Ecosystems were something to be admired, so why not worship them? But what she mentioned next stung her just a little.
Is this how it felt for Issun? For Morgan even in the Shadwood?
In a pack, but not...cherished or cared for. Just existing and surviving, not living.
"Am I not welcome here?"
She almost whispered the words, looking up to this woman with such power and conviction that she could probably crush Sacnite under a paw if she so prayed for her to be given the might to do so.

"I welcome you," though the others, would not. Her pumpkin eyes slowly drifted to the paws of Sacnite, drenched in the cursed white, and she lifted her gaze back to up to meet the others with but a gentle smile.
"Have you felt unwelcomed?" Célnes would diverge from the deep racism in their customs to lure the other to stay- it was important she felt in a sense, at home.

So the two Kings did welcome her. Cenric allowed her into their world, and Cel now confirming that.
Sacnite didn't take it to heart, she knew they couldn't speak for everyone else.
She shook her head softly, "No." But she felt that the unspoken words between them were: not yet.
Ah yes, her question.
It had bumped around her mind like the DVD Video loading screen.
"Would it be ok if I made a garden? A medic can show me what I would need to put in it...but I don't know any medics here..." she admitted shyly. Having a garden would make the medical process so much more efficient! Plus all the different herbs and flowers would look pretty.

"Of course," the King said with a nod, "you are one of us," she said with an emphasize of 'one of us.' While not a Deorwine to say, she is part of Kingslend's beginning. It was best to keep her close, and comfortable.
"You are free to do so- we only desire peace." So she said was the goal, but not her own goals.

Her ocean eyes lit up like a falling sunset being cast across the soft waves brushing against the shoreline.
She could? Really?!
Usually - no, before - she would have lept up to hug and kiss her leader. Cry. To thank him for the chance to do so. But this wasn't him. This wasn't the Keep or Courtfall.
Kingslend was new and different.
"So do I," she smiled, trying not to vibrate with excitement.
This was going to be so fun! Though Celnes didn't point her in the direction of a medic, that would be ok. She could start on some easy plants first, and maybe ones she thinks are useful.
"Thank you," she'd forgotten to say. She was too busy not throwing herself into the King's personal space.

"You're welcome- one of our medics is Cynefrid. However, I currently do not know where she is." Many were already finding places to sleep. While there already a suitable den, not everyone would wish to nest with each other. The King sadly could not track everyone at the moment, but at least knew they were in the forest.
"Then I wish you well, Sacnite."

Cynefrid.
Got it.
She'd have to fine this woman and beg her for some help at some point. But it seemed now they were done here.
"Thank you, and you too," she bid the King. Sacnite turned to leave her to her own personal time now.
