All Welcome
set for may 24th.

Odessia rested fitfully the night before, waking often to turn over, scratch an itch, and generally be miserable. She was not a fan of this week, and she idly wondered if there was anything that would make it more bearable. Well, she did have one idea, but so far, she had seen no males. Even if she had seen one, she was not sure how she would react. Every female she had seen sent her into a tizzy, even more so considering they were also in heat. Something about their smell set her into pure anger-frustration-annoyance-bitch-beast mode.
Upon waking this morning, she had loped back north, happy not to run into yet another female in heat. Or anyone, for that matter. When she came to the pack boundary, Odessia's pace slowed and she halted a good distance away from the pungent smell of old urine. There were at least some male scents mixed in, and so she lingered a moment longer, debating on what to do. Finally, she threw back her head and howled a long, lonely note—an invitation.

He hadn’t seen Wyvern in almost two weeks now. Cambria missed her more than he thought he’d would, though he told himself to put her out of his mind. This was exactly why he refused to form attachments, because this always happened. He was just lucky he hadn’t relied on her for survival, though he did miss her strange flavor of companionship…

He searched despite himself, the endeavor leading him back inland as he retraced his steps for lack of a better idea. Cambria howled for her every so often, though he never heard that familiar trill. When was the last time he’d heard it? He supposed it must’ve been the morning when he’d last seen her, though he couldn’t remember. The Dragonling shook his head.

A different cry rose into the warming air as he moved further south. Trudging alongside a winding stream, he approached a pass that led into the lowlands. And though he hadn’t recognized her voice, Cambria immediately knew Odessia’s face. His own jaw dropped as he began shuffling toward her.

The scent hit him like a gut punch. Once, Cambria had yearned for children. But that had been in another life, a past life. But something about the smell stirred his deepest desires and instincts, no matter what his conscious brain had to say. Groaning under his breath, he hastened his step.

Mature Content Warning

This thread has been marked as mature. By reading and/or participating in this thread, you acknowledge that you are of age or have permission from your parents to do so.

The participants have indicated the following reason(s) for this warning: suggestive themes. <_<

As soon as Cambria's figure came into view, Odessia recognized it. She immediately looked for the rabid bird, but it was nowhere to be found. How was it the two of them kept running into one another? Odessia certainly did not believe in fate, but she did believe in instinct, and maybe that was what had brought them together, this time at a critical moment. Perhaps they were some kind of good natural match. She knew nothing of science, and yet if she had, she would have assumed their genes would make for strong, healthy children. Instead, the small, blue-eyed wolf knew only instinct.
She saw him in a different light today, especially without the screeching of that horrible bird. Her eyes widened, then narrowed on the swarthy two-toned eyes of the male. She approached not in an angry or annoyed way—although there was something to say about how agitated she was by her current hormonal levels. Her tail twitched behind her, and she flared her nostrils, sucking in air to drink in his scent.
Whatever thoughts of the pack nearby flew out of her mind, and she thought of only one thing: how her body and Cambria's might fit together and relieve her of this tension.

He dimly registered Odessia’s skyward glance, his chest twinging at the reminder that his escort was missing. Come to think of it, the last thing he’d said to her had been sort of mean, hadn’t it? Cambria quickly stowed that thought for some other time, when he wasn’t about to cheat on his wife try his hand at seduction.

She met him in the middle, both pale wolves pausing to sniff noses. Well, Cambria certainly smelled a lot more than that. He sucked down a lungful of that heady draught, desire sweeping through him. It was so primal, he didn’t bother saying anything to her at first, just sought to nuzzle at her weird chin to ingratiate himself.

But he did have the presence of mind to croon, You smell incredible, Odessia, did you know that? The Dragonling didn’t wait for an answer before rumbling, I want you.

What he didn’t want was a family. Gods forbid, the thought almost killed his mounting lust. Cambria knew he should probably articulate this to her, let her know he had no intentions of sticking around or raising any offspring that might result from this. But Odessia might reject him then and… well, he couldn’t bear the thought in his current state of mind.

A howl on Verapaz borders was not something Kemal was often left expecting. Spotting two wolves when he approached the borders was something further unexpected in their quiet pass, and frankly their courtship dance was not appreciated. What if the children saw?

Making his approach slow so as not to be mistaken for 'mr steal yo girl' Kemal greeted them with a chuff. You are on Verapaz borders. Despite a friendly but rough demeanour, his words were blunt. Go elsewhere. There wasn't much more to it than that. He couldn't care less about their intent with each other, they just needed to move it along. If the spark flickered out on the way, that wasn't his problem.

Tilting his head to the side, he called to @Safiya and @Soto to alert them of the pair of canoodling intruders.

continued in this thread.

Odessia was not sure she smelled "incredible," but Cambria's last statement was enough to let her instincts do the work for her. Her choice made, she barely glanced at the other male who approached. He was not interested in her, and her interest in him dwindled to nothing in less than a second. She had no interest in conflict at this point in her cycle, and she gave Cambria a furtive glance and a smile—featuring her most unique aspect—before trotting away from the pack's borders.
