All Welcome
When Leto returned home it was with her usual pep drained. Towhee had left her with a lot to think about, priorities to weigh; she was going to do what was best for Delos, but it was hard to know exactly what that was. He needed to be somewhere he could live safely, somewhere he could learn to communicate efficiently, and he needed consistency. Leto wasn't sure all of that could be had at once.

It wasn't only him she had to worry about either, what about Apollo? How was all of this making him feel? Releasing a breath, she looked down at the pass in a moment of complete silence before releasing a howl to let the others know of her return.

She would put her smile back on and take time to recover before dealing with any of this further; she needed to have a clear mind before making the kind of decision she was faced with.

Disa had a fever.

It was inevitable. She had done her best to keep the weeping wound in her thigh clean, sitting for long hours in the cold stream that drained into the desert. It came from the lake she had passed on her quest for a medic. She should have asked him how to heal rather than how to poison, but done was done.

Disa was on her belly in the water when Leto's call sounded from above. Delos. Right. The crispy kid. Albinism, she recalled dimly, and struggled into a sitting position. It took a little while, but Disa eventually summoned enough strength to respond to the returning mother's call – I have information about your kid. How attached was Leto to the desert?

A response came from a woman who she did not recognise. Nonetheless, she would not ignore a promise of information.

Making her way to the source, she in fact found a stranger. You're new. She said, though offering a smile. You have information for me?

Leto had been gone for long enough that she wasn't surprised a new face had shown up. However, it did feel strange that they were delivering information about one of her kids.

Disa had never met Leto, but it was obvious who Delos belonged to when the pale mother apeared at the stream. Disa shifted where she sat, hiding her wound, but did not leave the water. She was feeling woozy, and the feel of cool, flat rocks was the only thing anchoring her to consciousness.

"Disa," she offered, "And you're Leto. Delos' mother." The crispy kid. "Soto sent me to find a healer.."

She relayed what Alaric had told her. Albinism. Congenital. Burns in the sun. Furs and mud to shield him, aloe to soothe his red skin. That he could have a good life, if the condition was managed. "But you should leave the desert," Disa finished, her voice gravelly. She stooped to drink, swiping her tongue over her lips when she looked back up at Leto. "Unless you and Soto.. or Kemal?" If so, neither of their genes had come to play in Delos.

No, his father isn't in the desert anymore. She responded quickly, her mind somewhat reeling with the new information. Soto is the closest thing they have, but he isn't mine. She was pretty sure he was a cuck or something anyways.

Clicking her tongue, it didn't take long for her mind to be made up. Thank you, Disa. Taking her exit, she went to retrieve her children. There was an important conversation to be had.
