@Cara So even though this place is called the Great Bear Wilderness, not once have I seen a thread with a bear in it. So, I've decided to fix that! Yay!
Majesty stared straight ahead at the bear not but a few dozen feet in front of him. His heart pounded. Luckily, the creature hadn't seen or smelled him yet, and it was too preoccupied with trying to catch fish in the river to pay attention. The wolf just prayed that the bear stayed downwind of his scent, or he would be its next play-thing. Bears were vicious. They didn't usually eat the animals they killed. They just played with their dead bodies for a while, and then got bored.
Majesty began slinking back in the direction of the Heartwood. If there were any Gods or Goddesses up there in the heavens, he hoped fervently that they liked him today. He forced himself to remain calm as the bear's massive head began swinging in his direction. When the thing spotted him, and stood up on its hind-legs, letting out a massive roar, Majesty felt his legs turn to jelly. He was petrified. Now what?

Cara was not one to believe in coincidence. She was a faithful believer of cause-and-effect, but maybe, just maybe, it had been coincidence that had brought her to that specific part in the whole Great Bear Wilderness to hunt.
Since she had begun her routine she noticed something was wrong, the eerie silence in the forest and the ominous presence of fresh prints in the soil made the yearling's fur bristle. The marks in the ground were far too big to belong to a wolf..there was another creature, and it was close..
Cara was just about to flee the scene, figuring it'd be better to leave the monster by itself than to risk an encounter, but as she was about to leave a ground-shaking roar made her head turn, and then a familiar scent mixed with fear reached her nose.
Majesty! she thought and broke into a run, following the scent of the large brown wolf. She ran as fast as she could, her paws lightly floating over the ground. Finally she reached a slope in which she could perfectly see the scene develop in front of her.
A massive brown creature standing tall like a tree, growled viciously at her pack mate. With her heart thumping in her chest she darted off to the right, shooting Majesty a look as she flew by.

Majesty stared into the bear's eyes - saw its intent in them. It was going to kill him, or at least chase him for a very, very long time. He had no intention of becoming a play-thing, but what could he do? There was no way he could outrun a bear! Even though the creature was massive compared to him, its bulk and size gave it speed, especially with its longer legs.
Majesty had no idea what he was supposed to do now. His life began to flash before his eyes, and he was about to lose it to a bear of all things. How cruel the world could be. Still, his instincts told him to run - to get away - to move. Self-preservation is an instinct no one can fight. But just as he was about to turn around and begin running for his life, something white-and-grey flashed by him.
Majesty did a double-take. What the hell was that? The wind kicked up by the new creature's passing let him know exactly what - or, who - it was: Cara. Oh shit, he thought to himself. And when Majesty cursed, even in his own mind, you knew it was serious. "Cara!" he cried as she flew past his right side. "What are you doing? Get back here! You're going to be killed!"

Cara ignored Majesty's pleads, she felt her heart thumping against her throat, making it harder and harder to breathe. She was conscious that what she was about to do might seal her fate, it was dangerous, suicidal even, but she trusted her paws and her swiftness more than she should.
She stopped when she was standing directly at 90 degrees from the bear, at a considerable distance of course but still leaving little room between the bear and herself. She bared her teeth and lashed her tail wildly aiming to get the brute's attention away from her packmate.
The large creature swung his massive head to the side, locking eyes with the female. Cara felt her paws ache and she knew she had to get away now. She broke into a run, heading to the opposite side Majesty was at. The bear roared with fury and took off after her.

Suddenly, all of Majesty's fear for his life vanished - in a split-second as if the fear had never been there in the first place. Here was his pack-mate, his friend risking her life for him by getting the attention of a giant Grizzly Bear. And what was he doing? Cowering in the corner. "This is not what an Alpha does!" he shouted to himself, and then took off after Cara. If she got hurt, he would never forgive himself.
Majesty charged after the both of them, hoping desperately to give up. Sirius, give my paws wings! he cried in his head. I will not let her get hurt because of my cowardice! And in another minute, he was right behind the bear. He lunged forward, attempting to sink his claws into the creature's huge back leg…

ok so we'll need to link the sparring thread here <3
Cara's heart pounded against her chest, she couldn't hear anything but the distant shouts and growls coming from the bear and her friend, she didn't dare to look back, not even once. She knew that by the time she turned to get a glimpse at what she had left behind she could be dead, so she ignored the fact that Majesty had already come to her aid.
She was flying over the grass, her ears pinned to her skull to give her more speed. It was then when she heard the piercing cry of the bear, immediately she turned to find her packmate colliding with the savage creature..
