Shadewood Four going on nine

@Phex gonna say the sickness has been developing but hidden. He has early, mid stage Kidney disease which means I can technically keep him around a while if need be.

He'd done so well hiding it. He didnt want to trouble Phex, didn't want his kids seeing their father becoming worn down. Now it was too much to hide, the way he had slimmed down was a lot though no ribs showed quite yet. He was tired constantly and noticeably sluggish, not eating much and peeing constantly. Today was the worst it had gotten, he was peeing outside the den when he noticed the scent of blood. He turned around to see the puddle a crimson color and stared "Aw shit" he muttered loudly and quickly covered it up with dirt before Phex could see.

Phex had been trying her hand at hunting, leaving Laroche to look after the kids whilst resting.
She felt bad by letting him hunt all the while. Plus, she needed to get better and had insisted on the morning. It's wasn't like she was leaving the woods.

She'd managed to catch a rabbit and was rather proud of herself. She carried it high back to the den, ready to show to Laroche that she could hunt. Though, she'd been away for most of the morning. No matter, though. She weaved through the trees and was about to throw it to him when the scent of a wolf's blood hit her. Sickness.
She dropped the rabbit, quickly rushing to him. He was kicking up the dirt.
Her mind raced. Had one of their children suddenly died? Did someone attack the den? She was opened her mouth, dropping the rabbit, "Are you ok? What's happened? Are the kids ok?" She dipped her head into the den, her eyes catching on the pair lazily battling. Unbothered. Her mind slowed, looking back to her mate.
