The wilderness had always called to her, and it was a loving call carried by the wind that she was always willing to answer. The woods, as strange and unfamiliar as they were, felt like a distant memory, a sacred place that had once been home. The landscapes were incredible, the views substantial. However, the she-wolf was at the beck and call of her own restless heart. She felt her most free when she was in motion, even if it meant leaving two familiar faces behind. They had no true ties, but Nyssa knew that she would return to them when her spirit had quieted. Instability or not, of that she was certain. The femme did not stop until the unfamiliar scent of rot stung her nose and a series of pools opened up before her. Apparently, she'd been too deep in her own head to notice them until she'd been pratically swimming.
It was then that a sound caught her attention - something soft, and coming from behind. Or to her left - she wasn't sure. The female let her haunches drop down, amber eyes narrowing slightly, with her back to the nearest spring. Nyssa coiled her tail neatly around her front paws, tail tip twitching in an almost comical, feline-like fashion. There she waited, alert but not yet startled.

he'd come down from the mountains. it was cold up there, too cold, and increasingly treacherous as the snows piled up. it felt strange to be away from the place he had come to call a home, but the freezing nights were enough to chase him away. he was glad for his winter fur, amidst snow piling up to his shoulders and haunches.
he knew from his summer excursions that there was a hot spring in the valley. it was rather unpleasant in the heat of midsummer's day, but in the chill of a midwinter day he was desperate for it. it was all that drove him from the mountain, enough to focus his normally wandering brain away from the endless sheets of snow that stretched out alongside him.
he wasn't surprised to not be alone at the spring, nor that there was a wolf there. he padded lazily towards them, blinking slowly.

nnnnello?he drawled, cocking his head at the wolf. he halted a few lengths away from them.
