Cole’s ears perked, a grateful smile spreading across his face at her words. Aw, appreciate that, Milana. Didn’t think I’d be much good at it, he admitted, chuckling softly. Her encouragement warmed him more than he’d expected.

Then, with a hint of sheepishness, he cleared his throat. Y’know… reckon I could hang onto this one? Back’s startin’ to feel the weight of haulin’ all them carcasses. He flashed her a lopsided grin, shrugging lightly. Maybe I’ll bring ya somethin’ real nice next time—save ya the trouble of watchin’ me struggle, he added, the humor in his tone masking his relief at the thought of a break.

She agreed without hesitation. He had helped make it, after all. "Of course - so long as you put it to good use." Tying the final knot, she pushed the contraption to Cole. She was glad to see it put to use so quickly.

Milan felt rather pleased with herself - her first true interaction with a packmate, and it had gone so well!

Cole grinned, tossing the pelt over his shoulder with a grunt of satisfaction. Reckon I won’t have so much pain in my back no more, he said with a relieved chuckle, adjusting the weight. He gave her a nod of gratitude, his southern drawl smooth and appreciative.

Much appreciated, Milana. I’ll be puttin’ it to good use, don’t you worry, he added, giving her a final look. Take care now.

With that, he turned and trotted off, the pelt sitting comfortably on his back, feeling the weight lift from his shoulders.
