All Welcome
For four days Tiki had roamed returning to sleep or rest. But she could not find her brother. Another lost child of the spear. It ached. She had never been particular close with any of her siblings other than Pie. Which she found a little ironic as they had different moms. You'd think they'd be close to their litter mates. But ah it was not to be.

She settled herself on a nearby rock and she watched the sun rise.

While she hadn’t been looking for her, per se, Tiuttuk found Tikaani perched on a rocky overhang and sidled up beside her. She pressed her nose to the other girl’s cheek and then settled beside her, tucking a yawn behind a black forepaw.

She said nothing for awhile, just sat watching the sunrise in companionable silence. It was peaceful, though a quick glance at Tiki’s face reminded her of the disappearance weighing on her half-sister. Pie knew she spent a good deal of time away from Moonspear, searching.

Eventually, Treepie broke the silence to say, If you want to keep looking, I’ll go with you. I’m not afraid anymore. She sat up a little straighter, steeling her spine. I’ll go as far as you want, Tiki, for as long as you want.

Tiki startled. She had been lost in her thoughts. But she gave a soft whine of delight and then returned the whiskery whisper of a kiss to her sister.

You sleepy?

Tiki didn't know what the world was coming. What she could do or needed to do. Where she belonged or why. All she knew was that things were slow and not right and she was unsure what to do. The spear she felt as if it were dying.

Tiki shook her head. I think we are needed here more than there. Unfortunately. And I am not a very good tracker. I won't be ablet o find him. And i Might get u s lost and then where's that leave our parents?

Tiki sighed and brushed a paw over her other leg.

Tikaani gently refuted the offer. Treepie felt a small measure of relief, though she truly would’ve gone to the ends of the earth for her best friend. She caught Tiki’s eye and frowned thoughtfully at the younger girl’s words. She couldn’t argue with her logic, not that she wanted to do any such thing.

Reaching out, Pie rested a paw atop the one that restlessly rubbed at Tiki’s opposite leg. She patted it, then leaned to nudge her half-sister with her elbow. Supposing that was not unwelcome, she scooted in a little nearer and dropped her head to Tiki’s shoulder.

Well, the sentiment’s the same: I’m here, Pie insisted, or wherever you need me to be. Tiki could probably feel her slight smile. Mmkay?

Tikaani knew that Treepie would go to the ends of the earth for her Just as she would for treepie. Wherever her friend went, she would follow.

Tiki curled into treepie. It was nice to have this physical reminder that she was not alone. As alone as she had so often felt lately. And she wondered even wh she was worried about her brother. They were not close after all, but the thought of him out there all alone. Well.

A soft chuckle. Okay. So what have you been doing?

Mm, Pie purled, thinking. I’ve been helping anaang look after our patients. I think they’re both on the mend now. Have you met them? Hakumele and Zyraena? I’ve learned a little about medicine… enough to know that it’s not really my calling, she admitted with a chortle.

Tiki shook her head. She hadn't meant these two. You'll have to introduce them

She laughed then. Let's leave that to Your Ana, Alaric and Kinusi.

Tiki did not like healing either. She thought perhaps scouting was her calling. But was unsure exactly how to make that a skill.

I like to scout.

She hadn’t realized Kinusi was interested in the healing arts. It made a lot of sense, considering. Pie filed this information in a cabinet in the back of her mind as she huffed a laugh and nudged her elbow against Tiki.

No, really? Whodathunkit? she teased. Sobering slightly, she added, You probably already guessed this, based on my offer earlier, but I’ve been getting better about leaving Moonspear. I wouldn’t say I’m super interested in traveling, at least very far, but it’s good to know I could, if I wanted. Maybe.

Tiuttuk took it day by day. On that note, she sat up straighter, stretching her spine as she pointed her snout skyward. The morning sun warmed her chest as she drew in a deep breath of cold air. It was a brand new day, with plenty of potential, though a sidelong glance at her sister told her that rest should be the only thing on the agenda.

I may not be a healer but I can totally tell when someone needs a good rest. C’mon, we’ll find someplace comfy and I’ll be the big spoon.
