The filthy cub then rolled onto her back, exposing her faded (and currently mud-slathered) underbelly to the Beta female and wagging her tail tentatively. The she-wolf's sharp words made it fall still and her golden eyes grew wide, staring at Finley's chin and silently begging forgiveness. Simultaneously, her lower lip began to tremble... in her tiny way, she hated that she had displeased her beloved godmother.
