He mentioned a home, so Wildfire guessed he must be part of a pack. She slowly looked at him again, deciding he looked like a Beta, if not an Alpha. He looked to be the same age as her parents, possibly older than Fox and younger than Peregrine. Again, she wondered if Dante knew them. Something told her not to bring up that particular subject. Her parents were not friendly with anyone beyond the caldera, so it was best not to go there.

"Where's home?" she asked, wondering if Dante would be forthcoming or prefer not to reveal his own allegiance. After all, Wildfire had only shared hers out of necessity. "Is it—" she began to ask, about to inquire whether he lived to the north, when she suddenly found the ground rushing up to smack her in the face. In reality, she had been so busy staring at him that she had tripped right over a fallen sapling.
