She had momentarily forgotten all about her sprained ankle and Wildfire was painfully reminded of it when she succeeded in slinging her forelegs around Floki's neck. The initial impact sent a bolt of pain shooting up her leg, then when he dropped, she went down with him. Before she could stop herself, the young she-wolf shot out a paw to stop herself from collapsing. She winced and hissed as another, much more horrible pain jolted through her.
