Wildfire released her lip and smiled at him, her head dipping when she remembered that he was the Alpha of this territory now. When his nose touched her cheek, she turned her head to press her own to the side of his muzzle, then carefully fell back onto her haunches.

"I've been treating it like crap," she admitted, "but I think I'll live." She laughed lightly, then immediately turned the spotlight toward him. "So, are you official? How is everything going here? Is Floki around?" The last question popped out of her mouth completely unbidden.
