He caught the bird; sure, it took him hours of his time and patience and in the end the meal wasn't worth all the trouble. Regardless, he caught the bird and it was one of his first few attempts that luck was on his side. At least, this time. For once, Mees actually paid attention to his surroundings as he carefully navigated through the treacherous mountain territory. There was a strange sort of natural beauty within the untamed savagery that was Sawtooth Spire. It didn't mean that he wanted to live here, as there was a huge gap between beauty and comfort; but still he appreciated its rougher edges nonetheless.

And now step by step he was hugging the mountain sides on a road less travelled only to find a nice place to enjoy his kill and eat this Woody Woodpecker. Woah, Mees muttered underneath his breath, his heart skipped a beat or two as one of his front paws was slipping away by one, wrong step. Carefully his eyes glided downwards to a place he didn't want to be; especially not ending up. Before resuming this adventurious trail he took a moment or two to recover from the moment and catch his breathe again. He would be fine.

But that couldn't be said for the wolf that was captured by his eyesight. She looked in a shape worse than he'd ever seen any wolf in. He'd seen a gasping wolf's dying last breath once, but that was an old wolf starving to death. Another one died of a fighting incident. But this, this was different. ”Holy shizzle; looks like you've been run over by a bizon. Back and forth. Back and forth.” It was a dumbass question to ask if she was okay, cause she wasn't. Still, he needed to assess her conditon and shape.
